Yo Scrod,

Are EAI frame suppose to have serial numbers? Because I can't find one on mine.

Scrodzilla 09-19-12 07:05 PM

Nope.

OK, thanks. We're suppose to register our bikes when we park on campus and they want a serial number. I guess it's going to be 12345.

GENESTARWIND 09-19-12 08:47 PM

scrod what are your thoughts on these guys ?
http://wearefactoryfive.com/ their frames inparticular

Scrodzilla 09-19-12 08:59 PM

Their frames are made by Colossi in China (which isn't a bad thing).

FWIW, the F5100 is the exact same thing as Superb's Sprint frame. You know, the one they said was specifically designed and manufactured exclusively for them.

GENESTARWIND 09-19-12 09:17 PM

ok ok, are their prices worthy? i think it converts to about 400 or 350 i dunno

holy ****ing **** they like to mark up

Dannihilator 09-19-12 09:21 PM

Yes or No?

Nagrom_ 09-19-12 09:25 PM

I'm not trying to jack scrod's thread, but the superb sprint is $700, and the F5100 converts to $475.49.

Also, if you want to have yours with a fully custom paint job, there is a HEFTY mark up of $31.76

GENESTARWIND 09-19-12 09:31 PM

i like the steel pista frame

Me too. Colossi frames may be made in China but they don't mess around when it comes to quality.

The Sprint frame is a nice, well made frame - but nowhere near the "boutique" price Superb is charging for it.

Maybe?

Dannihilator 09-19-12 09:36 PM

That works.

Dannihilator 09-19-12 09:37 PM

Should I hold off converting the 930 to a threadless setup until the thomson road bars are available?

I'm kind of hoping you looked so far into this because you're looking for a new RG frame and might just prove to be a killer competitor for Superb...

Scrodzilla 09-19-12 10:15 PM

If it were a situation of gambling, you'd be smart to bet on that.

eyeomegasquared 09-19-12 10:25 PM

Yo Scrod,

When my rear tire starts developing small cracks in the surface of the rubber, does that mean it needs to be replaced?

Scrodzilla 09-19-12 10:27 PM

No.

calv 09-19-12 11:50 PM

When your tire turns to mashed potatoes is when you should change them.
