Which is better; carne asada, shepherd's pie, pizza or pulled pork?

You'll most likely need the touring version.

So now that I am looking into wheel sets I have a few questions. I wanted to get the H Plus Son Archetype rims, when I look on Velomine They run about $200 with Orgin8 (Formula) hubs. Now if I go to my local shop they will build the wheel for me with Gran Compe hubs and white spokes but it will run me around $400. I have no problem with supporting my LBS, in fact I would prefer to do so, but when the price difference is this much I have to question it. It is worth spending the extra for the Gran Compe hubs and custom wheel build?

can i use 18/23c tubes on a 27 wheel?

IthaDan 12-24-12 03:57 PM

Scrod,

Can you share the pic of santa in the tub that's on facebook? There's no way that's going under the radar.

Happy holidays man.

It's posted in the RG thread in the marketplace.

Thanks, man. You too!

Gran Compe hubs are a little better than Formulas but the price difference also includes a labor charge for hand-built wheels, where the Velomine set does not. 95% of Velomine's wheelsets are now machine-built by WheelMaster in FL.

FWIW - your LBS is overcharging.

Would I be better off just getting a prebuilt wheelset? Something like http://www.velomine.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=858 or the one I mentioned before?

I don't mind paying for better quality, but if the difference isn't much between the sets I would rather spend that money on other bike parts :D

Those Pistard wheels are junk.

Glad I asked lol

GENESTARWIND 12-26-12 09:40 PM

scrod have you heard of any fitment issues with the sram s300 courier cranksets on conversions?

Not one.

ColonelJLloyd 12-27-12 09:44 AM

What width rim tape are you using with the TB14s?

Scrodzilla 12-27-12 09:47 AM

Ive got 17mm Velox on mine. As long as the spoke holes are covered, it doesn't really matter.

ColonelJLloyd 12-27-12 09:48 AM

That's what I thought, but couldn't remember if there was a size between 17mm and 22mm. Thanks.

Scrodzilla 12-27-12 09:53 AM

Velox also makes 19mm.

/notscrod but there is a 19mm version, that's the size I've got for my TB's, but as Scrod said it doesn't matter as long as the holes are covered.

I bought 17mm Zefal because 19mm was not available from either Zefal or Velox and I have never tried Zefal.

Scrodzilla 12-27-12 10:15 AM

You'll be ok. Zefal and Velox are pretty much exactly the same.
