Check out the pics of our new shop!

I am very impressed! Congrats!

(I still need info on that carbon wheel)

Scrodzilla 01-30-14 04:20 PM

Oh, I thought you were joking!

How many holes? Clincher or tubular? I'll do a little digging.

europa 01-31-14 04:12 AM

Considering recent experience in this thread, is there any hope for Carleton's sanity?

I'd ask a serious bike question but that'd involve spending money and I can't even afford air for my tyres (and that stuff's free).

Man, you have been busy. Hope it works for you mate. :thumb:

Scrod,

It's clear that you've been working hard, and the shop looks very attractive. I hope that your walk-in clients increase steadily.

Have you been to the San Diego Zoo yet?

himespau 01-31-14 05:43 AM

Have to say you picked the right year to move. Last year the winter was relatively light (by Boston standards anyway), and this year you're away from it all.

Shhhh, the shop's a converted 'habitat'

SpeshulEd 01-31-14 08:59 AM

Damn Scrod, just saw instagram...that sucks. I'm hoping you guys had insurance and everything will be ok. What a ****ty welcoming to SD.

Scrodzilla 01-31-14 09:18 AM

Yeah, we're insured. The old adage of "**** happens" applies here but I'm not in a very good mood.

For those wondering what we're talking about:

That sucks.

Time to install bars on the doors and windows and install the concrete pylons on the sidewalk so that no one gets the idea to back a truck through the front window. Same thing happened at a shop here in my town.

I'll grow them back, I just needed fresh start.

Pacific saltwater (in the air) is different than Atlantic starting fresh is smart thing....

Sorry to hear about the break in Scrod.

Will ya'll be getting 42cm FSA Wing compacts in anytime soon? If not i'll order the 40cm but I've read they run narrow. thanks

VeloNewbie 02-01-14 01:28 PM

That sucks about the break in Scrod. I hope your bikes turn up and those dude(s) catch a beat down. People bust their butt for the things they have, then to have someone just STEAL it...Crazy.

I bought a KMC Devil 101 track chain from you and I wanted to know if I should clean off the waxy stuff it came with from KMC and relube it with regular lube, or should I just leave the waxy stuff on there? Thanks dude

They're in stock, we just hadn't updated the inventory. They're up there now.

Thanks guys.

I usually clean it off and re-lube. Don't worry about getting every bit of it off but just give it a good wipe with a rag and some degreaser.

cosmicwheelie 02-02-14 11:38 AM

Thanks man. Just put an order in for them and some other fine accoutrements
