Measure each section of your leg, shin, thigh etc, include kneecap too, then get 165s.

Scrod, why the two different tire widths?

The majority of your weight is over the rear tire. Wider tires provide a more comfortable ride, especially on an aluminum frame. Wide front tires tend to handle a little weird when cornering while going fast. Narrow front + wide rear = comfort and good handling.

Besides, 28c Randos have a ton of tread and last a long time.

R: I read a book that said I shouldn't buy more bikes.

S: Yeah, what book was that?

R: My bank book!

Hey Scrod

I just picked up 2013 Leader 725. I noticed one of the selling points was "aero tubing", but really, is it actually aero? Did they windtunnel their frames? Not that it matters to me, just wondering how much is based in reality vs clever marketing.

Scrodzilla 03-09-14 05:06 PM

Dude, really?

"Aero tubing" simply means it's not traditional round tubing.

GhostSS 03-09-14 05:27 PM

It's actually a pretty misleading term...I'm certainly not in the know, it's my first non round tube frame.

That isn't self explanatory. I agree it can be a misconstrued term.

It simply means that if you pedal hard enough, the bike will become airborne. Pretty obvious to me.
