They got the speedholes wrong.

Scrod i just received some of the sugino crank bolts from retrogression.
working on installing the cranks and I get them tightened down half way then my socket no longer fits down into the cranks to snug down the bolt Am I missing a simple solution? Do I need a special tool? Or are these only compatible with certain sugino cranks? Thanks |
What crankset?
I've never had any trouble using a 3/8" drive 15mm socket on Messengers or 75s. |

I have some old Shimano cranks like that, which need 14mm hex bolts.

The fake sugino pista cranks.
As TT said, you most likely need 14mm bolts. |
Stole the allen bolts off of my other crankset for the sake of getting this built this week.
Gonna call the LBS tomorrow. I need some more spacers. That or getting my steerer tube cute down about an inch. It's been cut but not enough. I appreciate all of the input guys. |

Do you know what axle diameter the Cinelli Mash Bolt front fork requires? I only have two wheels to try and neither fit.

9mm

30x11 or 30x13?
|
Dirt jumper gearing? If so, I have no idea.

Yep. 70.9 GI vs a 60 GI.
What I'm running right now is close to the 60 gi(58.5), but I keep feeling like I'm going to loop out. Would the extra 2 gear inches make any difference? |
Scrod I have the oppurtunity to pick up a Sugino GPS crankset with 170mm arms for cheap. Crankset is 144bcd and appears to fit a square-taper bottom bracket. Would I be able to simply take the two road chainrings off and install a 144bcd track chainring and have a cheap track crankset? Am I gonna have issues getting a straight/semi-straight chainline? Also any idea if I'd be looking at the same bottom brackets as Sugino 75's fit or would I need something completely different?
thanks for any help |

If it's 144 bcd, you can do it. I'm not quite sure what spindle length you should use to get it right, though.
Is it JIS or ISO taper? JIS. Double chainring fits a 116 spindle, seller is thinking they'd fit a 109 spindle with single ring but opinions on the internet vary a little bit. Any ideas? Also what Bottom bracket would I be looking for to keep the chainline reasonably straight? thanks |
I figured you meant GLP. I'd probably try a cheap 107mm JIS first and go from there.

Says so in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy [\not Scrod] |
Do you have a fork that takes 10 mm axles?
|
Most front track hubs have 9mm axles.

You get one shot. Make the most of it while you're here and don't let too much of it pass by unnoticed. Know yourself. Make every effort to satisfy the yearnings within you no matter how big or small, share your time with people who are truly good for you (and in turn, you are good for) and don't take any **** from anyone. Don't regret mistakes, learn from them. Check out with a smile on your face or at least confident that you gave it your best. |
