So I have a creak that just started popping up when I'm out of the saddle climbing/sprinting and only when pushing down on my left crank arm on my Leader 735. I also noticed around that time my chainstays weren't snug to the hub when changing wheels. Possibly related or normal?

Hello im in the process of building up a single speed and have come up with an issue. my rear wheel only accepts cassettes with the deep splines (modern 10sp cassettes) are their any cogs that will fit or am i going to have to dissect a 10 cassette with spacers? thanks! i was hoping to find a special single speed cog since their base is wider so the cog doesnt bite into the hub as bad?

I don't think that would cause creaking but how did you not notice that when you first built up your bike?

As for the creak itself it's hard enough to diagnose stuff like that in person, let alone over the internet.

Well it used to fit snug in the dropouts before, I just noticed it sitting so far out in the last month or two.

Also, check out endless cogs. Better than the surly cogs. Wider, stronger, fits tighter and cool anodized colors!

Unless something happened to bend your frame, that doesn't make sense.

Its one if the botched 2013 frames so I'm just wondering if it's possible to not have the structural integrity it should because it's pretty flimsy when I power down on it. I don't see any cracks on it or any signs of stress though.

I'll likely just swing by my lbs and see what he has to say about it.

Scrod, we always talk about the Kilo TT being the best bang for the buck in regards to a fixed gear bike. I'm in the market for a decent component single speed mountain bike and I was hoping that you knew of one which was a good bang for the buck and is highly regarded like the kilo?

Okay thank I will give them a try. I was worried because on the site they say that the cogs fit on standard shimano compatible freehub bodies and I am trying to use the wh6600 wheel that has Ultegra hubs with an aluminium cassette body with higher splines. Hopefully they fit, if not then I will probably try them on my other wheel with the standard 9 speed hub.

Quick question. Right now I'm running with a Velocity Deep V wheelset (32h laced to formula hubs) and I'm looking to change my wheelset and hopefully upgrade from the Velocity Deep Vs. I'm looking at H+ Son's TB14 Rims laced to Formulas, as well as Mavic Open Pros laced to Formula hubs. I found that the mavics are about 70-80 grams lighter than the Velocitys and the H+sons. Will I be able to notice a difference in the weight when I'm cycling? Also does the wider rim of the TB-14 make a difference too?


Any opinion on these rims will be greatly appreciated
