I've never had much trouble keeping calipers centered. |
what aspect(s) contributes to their (cantis) annoyingness?
i have a basic understanding of how they work but not exactly how theyre set up from a box of parts my experience with calipers were on crappy bmx bikes with crappy components, so i doubt it had much to do with me |
I've had a harder time keeping them centered than calipers and they just annoy me to work on.
Whenever a bike comes into the shop that has cantis, I let out an audible groan. |
Fun fact that is only tangentally related to something posted here. I am sorry Scrod
The Race Across America comes through my hometown every year. I "watch" what I can. One year the parking lot I was watching from had a team to pull in, while the racer urinated. I talked to the team mechanic a minute. They were riding a spinergy rev x on front, because they had very low maintainence level. |
Ask Scrod
They need aerospokes

Scrod, have you ever seen a GT GTB in person? Why do i see them with there seatpost binder clamps facing reverse? http://www.pedalroom.com/p/gt-gtb-ge...ike-7357_5.jpg
|
Because the slot on the seat tube faces forward. But i've learned from a few frame builders that it doesn't matter which way you put the clamp.

I had a GT Pulse once. Kinda miss it.

scrod are you a morning person in general, or are you a morning person because of your business.
I only ask because you respond to many of my "********" morning/early posts. and i am curious. |
The shop opens at 10 during the week and noon on Saturdays.
I'm not necessarily a "morning person" but I enjoy waking up early and having time for myself before going to work. |

Hey Scrod, I am in the process of building up a kilo tt, and need some advice on a head set. I'm looking to spend no more than about $50-60 and have a couple in mind,IRD technoglide, Ritchey logic, cane creek sas, or shimano pro rm-01. Could you please tell me which of those you'd recommend...and if there is anything else that might be better than those at the same price point. Thanks for your input[h=1][/h]

Hey Scrod, if you had to replace the standard external bottom bracket on the Andel Deluxe track cranks
http://www.retro-gression.com/produc...-crankset-w-bb What would you recommend as a cost effective replacement that would be as good/better? |
