I must be behind the times, I still haven't caught up to using twitter, instagram, ******, snapchat, and to this day I'm still trying to figure out what a Vine is.

You stock Aventon now? Didn't you used to not like them?
Before everyone freaks out, calls me a "sellout" and a "traitor" or starts burning me in effigy in town squares across the country, it was a decision that certainly took a lot of deliberation. Without writing a 5000-word essay here on BikeForums, I will say that after some lengthy conversations with reps from Aventon I can easily see how they are doing very good things for the track/fixed gear cycling community - much more, in fact, than many other popular brands - and are working extremely hard to better themselves as a brand having respect for both the industry and their customers. We received some product today (which we posted a pic of on Instagram to mixed results) and I am very pleasantly surprised to see the overall quality of their frames has improved quite a bit and to say the frames are on par with Leader's recent offerings is accurate. They are also on board to be a pretty big sponsor of the SD Velodrome in 2015 and as a result, people here want their frames. Whether or not we put them up on the site is still up in the air. You guys know my personality and the way my shop does things. We flat out refuse to do business with any company we don't respect or want to do business with. My thought process was pretty much "Go ahead, impress me" and kudos to them because they did. For the record, Vincent Shim and Unknown Bikes can still go **** themselves. :) |

Even Leader bikes went through their fair share of revisions to improve known issues (seatposts and dropouts come to mind). If their next gen lineup shows great improvement from the last, everyone wins.

Considering this development, it must be time to start "The I Love My Aventon Thread" thread, thread?

My Friend bought an Aventon Matero and the frame came twisted from the factory, dropouts don't line up (as a result makes horrible creaking sound). Maybe he got the last of the ****ty one's but I was not impressed with the quality whatsoever. Except for that the frame is a great deal for the $$$$

Yeah I should add that they hooked him with a brand new frame and apologize for everything.

Scrod, what's the deal with Kinlins? I've never gotten to try them and I know you used to stock them. Why don't you anymore?

It's still kinda weird to look up at the wall in the shop and see a bunch of Aventons hanging there but we definitely don't regret the decision to work with them.

At first it seemed like all the Aventons I would see were screwed up in some way and that it wasn't just QC slips but all the frames we've got on hand look very good (and I certainly scrutinized every inch of them). |
