Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My bike needs a name!

So I just received my new Felt F75X for cruising around town with friends, and like the other bikes ridden in my gang it'll have a name. I need some input as to what it should be! Here's a picture for inspiration.

You should name it "Gunk" after all the crap you're going to be cleaning out of those DT shifter cables.

funny you mention, my touring bike has cables routed like that, and after 2000 miles its pretty gunk free even going off road!

Have you considered buying some housing liner to protect the cables?

I'm thinking along the lines of the other bikes with these names: My all-black single speed is a Sputnik (also the model), a friends mix-and-match parts single speed is a Frankenstein, and another friends sky blue mountain bike is smurf. Dam that that last one is taken.
