Here is mine in slightly different guise.

Absolutely! The new bike lanes and sharrows around the city are a huge improvement.

Very nice! I like those bars, what are they? Thinking about experimenting with a more upright/townie like riding position soon. I'll have to take some pics tonight after work or maybe this weekend. I don't really have anything worth posting at the moment.

Those bar are what was originally used on bikes with rod brakes. The brake levers, return springs and pivots are all integrated into the handlebar.

Went on a slight detour coming home from some errands -- went to check out "wave organ".. Not much to hear since the tide was out

Seems an interesting frame choice for a townie. Retro crank too?

The front brake is set up correctly, no? I don't see the issue there.

One other question in terms of safety--is the carbon fork capable of handling a rack like that? Or is most of the weight being placed on the front axel? I only ask because usually when people put baskets/racks on high end track bikes, the basket is attached to the front axel and the handlebars, as opposed to the axel and the fork crown like we see here.

It's definitely a weird townie choice, but also one that I can wholeheartedly get behind. Despite any shortcomings the build might have.

I think he is talking about the decision to use a bar-end lever with those bars.

Albany Bulb. Really amazing place, very tranquil, with lots of burning man style art just lying around. Right on the edge of the bay, with some fun little trails around it all.

I took a cool video too of one of my favorite pieces of art right before sunset, wonder if embedding if here works:
