I got a Somax wheelset ($180 shipped) and some other small parts from Terrie...quick shipping and good service.
I also ordered some pedals/cages/straps from her, but they are taking awhile to get here(almost a month now). I think something funny happened...I have an APO address since I'm in the military and stationed in Italy, but stuff only takes 7-10 days unless it's Xmas time. Terrie has been helpful over e-mail so far though!

Track King on eBay
Did anyone else notice that the Track King store on eBay was taken down and all transactions cancelled? I ordered an EAI cog and an Izumi chain about a week ago, figured that everything was kosher (had paid with paypal), but received e-mails today (from eBay) saying that the items were cancelled or some such jabber:
I just e-mailed Track King to see what's up, but this is pretty weird. Has anyone from here had problems with them? It seems odd to me that the account was suspended since I've heard quite positive things from most people. Strange happenings.
Please be advised that the following auction:
7124xxxxx - EAI Track cog 18T 1/8th Steel Free Shipping LAYAWAY
was ended early by eBay. The auction was ended due to the account suspension of
the seller.
All results for this auction are null and void.

My guess is his lay-away auctions violated eBay policies in some way. Either that, or he just forgot to pay his fees.

I just bought a fork off them (trackbikeking is the correct user id btw) last week after reading the other thread on here where people said they were reputable.
I just emailed them as well. Hopefully it is something unrelated and I don't have to go through paypal to get my money back.

Could just be some jerk slinging accusations, and eBay has temp suspended the account pending investigations. It doesn't take much, if a seller doesn't protect him/herself from the inscrupulous liars and cons.

Yeah...I got that for the pedals, toe clips, straps I ordered...damnit! I just ordered the set from IRO...it was cheaper anyway. I e-mailed eBay asking about the money situation. Not quite sure what 'null and void' is implying and the eBay help section didn't really help...imagine that.

Well I just got off of the phone with Neal (the owner) and found out that his ebay accounts were suspended because someone was reporting him as a fraud or something like that. I just wanted to give this forum a heads up since I know some people order stuff from him and whatnot. I in fact recieved an email from ebay this morning saying the items I bought from him were now null and void since his account was suspended by ebay. Before this happened he had 100% positive feedback but they closed him down anyways.
I don't work for him or have any relation to him, I just want to plug a good honest guy trying to make a living. I got my grips in the mail today and my bars will be here soon I hope (both ordered from him).
So if anyone was having questions regarding buying from him, obviously right now he won't be able to sell anything until this is hammered out with ebay, but he was telling me he is planning on launching www.houseoftrack.com soon as his online store so he wouldn't have to deal with ebay any longer.

trackbikeking gone off eBay?
Anyone know what happened and when? I just placed an order/paid for grips on Monday, and they have feedback as recent as yesterday. No longer a registered user?
I've had several great transactions...bummer.

E-bay e-mailed me the cancellation notices yesterday. I looked at the website and it says the new store will be up Monday.
FWIW, their other stores (i.e., BMX) are still up on eBay and they have good feedback...look up Bike King.

Despite popular beliefe we were power sellers up until yesterday. We have tried to down play the situation but foo spoke up and Gemma from Australia is raising Hell on ebays boards also. We have now tried 3 times Yes 3 to get a road account going on ebay. Every single time we have tried some jackass in the suspension dept has shut the freaking account down with in 24 hours. Also every time they do they usualy take down a couple pretty serious accounts along the way. This time they took down as everyone now knows the new Road account, a Cellphone account I was financialy backing, ( any one need cellular accessories? ), and of course the seriuos slap in the face the Track account. As was mentioned recently all over these post. The Track account was running 100%. Not a single complaint. There will be more people to fill my shoes on ebay soon. I refuse to deal with the crap again on a personal level. I will make a list of notes for someone to get the sources, and sell the stuff on line. I will go as far as to help with their pricing to protect the riders. But past that I am sick of some ******* in Ebay with a road account seeing a threat start up and close them down.
We own several web sites and we were going to launch them by the first anyways. This was going to be a quiet endevor but since Foo posted I might as well tell all. I guess I should not be so fair to people but I am. I do not post names of dealers that cus me out I tried to down play the Crap an ebay employee keeps pulling etc...
In short www.houseoftrack.com will be live by Monday. I am personally behind 72 emails as I type this. I have been playing with designes for the site all night and I honestly think I am going to stick with a basic ebay look and just use Paypal since thats what everyone is used to.
For the record I have sheep, and wool makes me itch so we are not going on the Lamb. Just growing up in business and getting like everyone else and saving over $300.00 a month in fees. I talked with the employees yesterday and they are not happy over the mess but theres nothing legaly we can do until the person is caught. As you can guess as soon as the first account was touched we sent an email and started calling in. As guessed we were treated about as good as you guys. No return emails and blown off.
Anyone that is unsure whats up or just wants to lend a shoulder for us to cry on can reach us at 1-877-717-1775. Toll free. Anyone that had an order on before ebay was screwed can still use paypal and pay we are not going anywhere. If you already paid your order is more then likely shipped by now anyways.
Oh and the shop changing to apointment only has been a complete success. We are still working on the build out but so far people are making apointments and coming in. We are very happy on that level at least.
I need to get a few hours sleep. Everyone thats frm the shop is asleep but me. I have been here playing with the site. Feel free to call after noon to say hi or what ever. Thats Vegas time please.
Thanks, Neal and the rest of the crew here in Vegas.

The e-mail I received today from them said "I have been burglarized this week and we choose to suspend the account ( at ebays advice over closing it)..."

hey Neal, sorry if I wasn't supposed to post about this situation. I just figured that a lot of people on this board buy stuff from you and I just wanted to give everyone a heads up in case they started getting emails from ebay about your account being suspended and freaking out. Sorry once again..

i ordered a 16T cog and they sent me a 15 by accident. I emailed him and he sent me the right one ASAP and let me keep the 15. I hope the next time I order something from them they send me the slightly wrong product so I can double up again.

I got an email from Ebay this week that said Trackbikeking was suspended. Don't know the details, I just checked to make sure it was actually from Ebay but then deleted it.

OK, I take back all the nice things I said about "bike king (i.e., trackbikeking)". They definetly have a Jekyll/Hyde (Terrie/Neal) thing going on. I bought a Soma Somax wheelset from them with no problems, but "the case of the missing pedals" sent Neal over the edge...
BTW, if you are military, serving overseas, you can basically f-off because we apparently aren't worth their time. If they had a clue or any business savvy, they would offer insurance on items sent through USPS in the event that something like "the case of the mising pedals" were to happen. Instead they spend all their creative brain power to type up long-winded e-mail about how running a business sucks, e-bay sucks, etc. I didn't want a diatribe on the insights of business, I just wanted pedals for my damn bike...lol!!!
Anyway, I've posted my ongoing e-mail traffic with them on this blog.
Ciao!

Hey All
While it is always good to share feedback on situations like these (both sides - good to see the business end responding), try not to make it personal.
If it looks like it will become a heated discussion, take it off-line.
Thanks

I figured he would be here bashing us and sure enough he is. We ship APO`s all the time. Not a big deal until this clown. I honestly think he got the order. It has not come back, it's not trackable but we can show where it was shipped. I believe most dealers state clearly once we mail it its on you. We do not do that and this is what we get. Oh and the cry about being over seas? Get real you are in Italy dude not Iraq. The only fear you have over there is rather the Pizza will be cold or not. Oh that and if you will get caught ordering stuff and saying it did not get there.
I am done ranting back on him. He is not worth the effort or the losses further.
Laterz, Neal
and
Is anyone else reading this like I am? He bought from Iro and us? I was sure I was ripped off and now I see it. Amazing. Someone needs to stop people like this guy!!! I guess I better call John at IRO Sunday and tell him about this guy I am blown away I am reading this. How obvious can he be?
I don't think this needs to become heated...
I ordered a set from IRO (with silver sylvan tracks for $38 and a stem from Tony on 15 April and got them on 25 April) since the black set I ordered never showed up. I have the e-mail from the order and everything... As for insurance...most stuff I order from the States comes insured...the stuff from IRO did. It's so cheap that it's worth it. Nowhere in my e-mail do I ask to ship it "cheap". The wheelset was on eBay advertised as free shipping and out of the straps/pedals/cages the clips and straps were listed as free shipping and the pedals were $5 shipping which I paid. You say you "ship to APO all the time" but when I e-mailed asking about it there was some confusion (let me ask, yes we do, ok it's coming FedEx, etc) , so I don't think that's the case.
Looking at the eBay feedback, but look at the one that says "Packaging risky; box would have avoided bending the toe clips." I'm wondering if this was the deal with mine and now my package is in pieces somewhere between NY and Venice.
You can talk out your ass all you want about the situation over here when in fact you have no clue. I served my time in Iraq, it's not all pasta and wine here...we do get deployed. I was in Balad listening to mortars come screaming toward the base on an almost nightly. I was there for 4 months and luckily I'm in communications so I stay pretty much out of the way of most stuff, but when the sides of your tent blow up when a mortar flies by it seems a lot more real. My good friend Antoine Holt was killed last April when a mortar hit his tent in Balad. We were a little more worried about his wife Tricia and their one-year-old daughter then if the pizza was cold. You learn to appreciate life a little more when your friend gets taken from his loved ones at only 20 years old.
The bottom line is I didn't understand the total rudeness from Neal while Terrie was actually trying to help me out. It's obvious from the e-mails and most of the posts he's left in this thread that he isn't the brightest nor most customer-oriented person selling his wares on the internet. I wanted to open some eyes because after sticking up for them on the forum and then getting treated like this I wanted people to see what kinda business they are running. Like I said, I had great service and stuff, but this missing pedal thing sent him over the edge.
If that package ever shows up I'll be fighting the urge to take a flight to Vegas and throw it through the shop window with $57 (or $114 or $198347 whatever it "cost them") attached to it.

I dump the thread OR we get civil. I could care less who said what, etc, anymore. Personal jumps aren't tolerated. If anyone has a problem with this, PM me. I am all ears.
