It's doable if you're patient. If your search Google for "Harlequin wrap" you can find instructions. From this thread:

Holy crap that is one of the most fiddly processes I've ever seen. It took me three attempts to wrap my bars without any gaps with standard tape.

what in gods name is going on with this cockpit

You can still buy those style brake levers. Still looks dumb

I can't be the only one sick of seeing modern carbon road bikes in black, black, and more black. I know there are option out there, but I hope this fashion dies soon.
|
bike ninjas is why.
|
i think it makes a little more interesting than just gloss black. but ive always been a fan of flat black or OD green so im biased

What bugs me more than all the black is the matte finishes. Why did "Dull" become fashionable???

I'm a "satin" or "semi flat" guy, personally.
|
The satin thing can look soooo good if done right. Generally people have poor taste imo so it usually looks awful :notamused:
|
satin is a little easier to make look uniform
most of the sanding jobs on the flat black cars you see on the street are garbage, you can see every imperfection "yo my boy hooked up the paint on my 240 bro, **** is bomb as ****" a truly clean flat black paint job is a work of art, even though its the least exciting paintjob you can have... outside of beige :shudder: i dont understand a matte finish on an actual color though. guy on the island has a orangey-yellow colored charger with a matte finish. looks like a ****in block of cheese. |
