Mine too, he's a tall mofo so his bikes weren't able to stack two deep. I'll likely move my lower one over to mimic his set up but for now I'll allow it.

Did my physical training test, ran 1.5 miles in 10:39. 9 seconds off my goal, I didn't puke at the end so I guess I could have pushed out the 9 seconds.

I paid about 320 for frame/fork/shipping, so yes, it was too good to pass up. Roommate paid a little less sincehis was a 725. I would never pay full price for a Leader.

cc700 09-29-13 09:23 PM

i would never pay any price for a leader

also, cyclocross was good n muddy today.

Smart man, I just got a big raise and felt like treating myself and it was a huge mistake.

PDX weather sucks.

Cat 6'd the **** out of my 2:30 am commute home and made it in record time, then watched the Breaking Bad finale.

spoiler: It was good.

Very good!

I'm the only person that doesn't watch this show apparently.

I got bored season 1.

richpool 09-30-13 08:01 AM

Yesterday I went on a solo 50 mile gravel ride. The farm roads and weird places in my area are fun to explore. I also found a 37 mile gravel race to enter on oct 27th. Its oddly short so it sounds like a blast. Lastly, I had time to weigh the crux its a little heavier then I thought, as it turns out the first scale was off. Two different scales came in at 18.13 LBS (no pedals) take off the 3 bottle cages the 3rd seatpost bottle mount and it is sub 18. johnnytheboy

It was good but I expected it to be better. The part where Jesse kills Walt Jr. at school really took me by surprise though.

Fall and spring weather are the worst because it's unpredictable, will be dry and sunny then the second you start riding, it's pouring out. Winter is better because it's just cold and rainy all the time so you can dress without worry of weather changes.

Expect to get hailed on a couple of times a year too, it's a blast.

TejanoTrackie 09-30-13 09:16 AM

The weather is glorious this time of year in north Texas.

Texting Breaking Bad spoilers to random people really pisses them off.

SpeshulEd 09-30-13 11:25 AM

Finally getting a break in Phoenix too, of course it's been windy as hell, but what can you do.

how on earth do you ride your bike without pedals? 18lb13oz wit pedals would being it up past 19.
i'm one of those weird people that weighs my bike the way i actually ride it.
pedals, cages, garmin mount etc....but again..i'm weird.
mine with all that ^ weighs in at 20 on the nose, and these bb5's are way more than your canti's. makes me feel good.
where's that gravel race you're entering? i might be interested.....

johnnytheboy 09-30-13 11:39 AM

today i just finished a 42mi recovery road ride on the crux.
finished at 583mi for the month. also, in the top 9% in strava's "the extender"...not that i even know what that means.
legs dead, sunburned, dehydrated....days like this make me love bicycles more and more.

oxymoron. 42 mi is likely too much to promote recovery, relative to not riding at all. even at grandma pace
