Yeah, I rode mine for an hour while watching LSU crush them Aggies. Really nasty weather outside and it figures to be worse tomorrow, so I'll be riding the trainer again. I really hate it, but am committed to exercise every day no matter what.

Today I decided to ride my brakeless track bike for work for the first time. It was rad. #coolstorybro

today i rode the fixed gear to work for the first time in months, diggin the risers

damn near 30 mph wind at 23F makes me want windproof everything.

Today I'm taking a shot at online dating, wish me luck or wish for some crazy broads that I can tell you all about.

Started making my new fenders for the winter. 1 layer dry, now to make a bracket for the rear break bridge and side braces, then hopefully another layer will finish it off

I just got my risers on Friday...I think thats about month after you got yours based on when you posted about the giant box they came in. I was going to put them on yesterday but never got around to it. That'll be next weekends project.

The first layer is pretty rough, in all fairness it's my very first time ever messing with any fiber cloth. I'll cut the edges smoother and wrap the second layer over the edges too. We'll see

edit: It's actually really tough. With those brand new Fiskars titanium nitride coated scissors I can't cut through it. To the power sander

theyre gigantic, i cut them to the maximum cut mark and they still feel a little big, im not used to having that much steering control lol

despite the aluminum being ultra thin they dont seem flexy so far either, and for the price i cant complain

Those wide bars take a little getting used to, I can't go back after riding with 700mm+ bars. I guess they look ridiculous on a road bike.

Dannihilator 11-24-13 04:16 PM

Today brought 40 miles in sub 30 temps. Good day.

When I'm going all out on my MTB, I love the wide bars, but any other time I hate them.

Sounds like a fun/annoying project, post up the finished product when you're done.

Any chance I might convince you to have a look at the Suzuki SV650 before you pull the trigger on the Buell? Much more capable motorcycle in about every way.

I love it but they killed road bike bars for me. I'm going to have to try out a 48cm Nitto one day. - big&tall problems

GENESTARWIND 11-24-13 08:25 PM

I wrapped the right side of my bull horns then went to work with the gf

The cloth was cheap, the resin was expensive since you had to buy quite a bit at once. Probably 5x more than I'll use on this project

Huffandstuff 11-25-13 12:39 AM

I tried the online thing and well it's nothing but ratchets and fatters. It's pretty rough.
