We still have a ways to go. This one was 60 miles/6k climbing and the ride we're training for will be ~90miles/9k climbing :o I haven't worked out like this in a long time. There are still even more challenging rides in the are coming soon but I need more than just a few weeks prep :P

Huffandstuff 02-08-14 10:08 PM

Portland's worst day of the year ride was cancelled due to having bad weather so I got a good 15 miles in the snow. Never realized how much more of a workout it is when pushing through powder.

LesterOfPuppets 02-08-14 10:17 PM

I only got about 4 miles in today. 10 miles yesterday.

Had the shop open both days.

I'm sick of the Northeast. I'm hoping to get to San Diego this spring to check it out. Hopefully move there next year.

SDGE/ Sempra SD. ;)

Office/ engineering is located here.

As a result of recent events, if they interview you, be sure to say "safety is your #1 concern" for extra points.

It rained here 3 days ago if that counts. ;)

Also brisk 45F morning commutes are nice; especially when you live in a mountainous area where any valleys/ insets act as cold sinks to support the aforementioned temp.

I have a beer on rare occasions, it's just that I can really easily go without it.

Muffin Man 02-10-14 03:00 AM

Starting to not really dig how my helmut fits, but I can't afford a new one.

#firstworldproblems

Misspelled helmet, but I like it. Helmut.

I need sleep

TheRealFaux 02-10-14 03:17 AM

haha its mostly about the temp change, i guess sf experiences spring-summer-fall every day which is cool, plus im weird and i like fog
sd (though ive never been) sounds like its just nice all year round and never gets kinda cool

id live anywhere in cali at this point, was thinking about tahoe because mountains

TMonk 02-10-14 10:38 AM

pro tip for once you move out here:

a great way to show people that you're not from california is by calling it "cali". not sure if you care but just sayin'

Mumonkan 02-10-14 11:13 AM

lmao, i dont say it out loud

typing is hard. i abbreviate ****

Huffandstuff 02-10-14 11:13 AM

Portland is the jam, one hour to the mountain or one hour to the beach. Only bad part is the people and rain.
