^ Looks sharp!

Today I finally started walking again. Ok, it's more like hobbling with a cane but after 7 weeks of dealing with crutches it feels amazing. Riding can't be far behind!

I've put a more reasonable offer this time.

Today I discovered that wally world has upped their fixed gear game. Feast your eyes (or not, sorry for the crappy pic) on the $119.97 Kent Street Formula!

Slightly better stamped brakes, deep-v wheels, and your choice of madness-inducing neon green (photos don't do it justice, it was positively Lovecraftian in its ability to sear eyes and warp minds) or plain 'ol red.

You've been warned. I assume there's a new thread being composed right now asking if this is a "good" bike...

Today I mapped out a route for my first 100km ride on a fixed gear which I am embarking on tomorrow. Too bad all my friends are lame and am forced to make it a solo endeavor.

If it gets people out riding bikes and off computers / video games I'm happy.

That's true, and certainly a more reasonable way to look at it. Killjoy.

I just applied for a job in LA, though I probably would turn it down. Not too sure if I like LA. I haven't heard back from the San Diego job yet. I have no reason to leave NYC other than for a better living situation (climate, etc).

It all depends on the area.

So south central it is then?

It's got some good rides and nice houses. Everything is all sprawled out prolonging said rides. And not much else *special* though. But then again, it's pretty much a given you'd have a car and in driving distance of whatever in LA/ OC.
The perfect place imo to bring up a family considering how peaceful and drawn away the place is. Great schools too.

I was once followed by some dudes in a truck while I was riding in North Hollywood. What an exciting night, busting my ass to reach the metro station before they mugged me or something.

Beautiful neighborhoods, masterplanned roadways, clean streets, LOWest crime rate in the US, great schools, wide meandering sidewalks, 100 year old trees, incredible restaurants and shopping, five minutes from the Beach, bike trails, the smell of real stawberry fields, and a killer amphitheater. Only and idiot would live there.
