Waits for @Dannihilator to reply here that he rode some-odd 3000 miles to Oakland.

Today I... got one day closer to being homeless. Gotta be out of my place by 7/31 at noon. Am spending a lot of time researching safest US cities for homeless folks, and Key West keeps popping up. I've got enough cash for a bus ride just about anywhere in the country; anyone here have any other suggestions?
And no, I don't want to get into why. If you don't understand, be happy you have a healthy brain.

And yeah, probably shouldn't have brought it up here. But this has been my "community" for a while now, thought it was worth the risk of being questioned/mocked in hopes someone else here had been through a similar situation and had some advice.

We don't know what your situation is here because you won't explain why

What living conditions do you want? Bum jungle, squat, wilderness camping? Do you want to work or are you cool with flying a sign? If you go to New Orleans or another big city other punks can tell you about traveling job opportunities like the popular beet harvest out west, or you could do medical research studies. I have known some folks that primarily earn income that way. Gainesville is super cheap and lots of ways to make money, including pedicab driving.
I would concentrate on moving to a cool city with cheap cost of living so you can focus on getting back on your feet, rather than getting stuck in a rut and losing motivation. I have only spent a day in Key West but it seems like a lazy ****hole with nothing but food service and other tourism jobs for an economy. The world is full of possibilities. Live to the fullest! At least you aren't stuck in a crappy 9-5 with crippling debt. Good luck!

Portland has a lot to offer for people in less than desirable situations in life, not too many squats but plenty of services. Only downside is the nine months of rain.
On an mildly related note. Tomorrow I'm going camping with the lady for the weekend, which means it's been like two weeks since I've been to the track. I need those upgrade points, damn it.

I'm a four but I wanted to get three by the end of the year but that won't happen. Probably gonna pick up a cross bike and start doing cross since it well give me something to focus on in the winter besides how many beers I can drink in a row.
