Front squats? Do a clean to get the bar up to your shoulders and then get a different quad workout with front squats.

It's actually ideal that you owe a little bit. Don't want Uncle Sam holding on to your money for up to a year. You wanna pay what you owe him at the very last minute.

Baking my accent painted cranks in the oven right now. Smells "awesome".

GENESTARWIND 01-25-15 03:51 PM

I don't know if I have the ankle flexibility for front or high bar squats. I've broken both my ankles. I'm trying my left it's far more flexible.

any tips on stretches for wrists and arms for front squat

Mumonkan 01-25-15 05:55 PM

so aparently everyones having a ****ing heart attack about some snow storm were supposed to be having. words like "record breaking" "worse than the storm of 96" are being thrown around. every person that tells me about it adds on another foot of snow were supposed to be getting

taking bets its only slightly more than the snow we had the other day. since sandy every weather condition that isnt 72º and sunny is cause for the national guard to be sent in.

before this crap started i always got at least $1300 in returns from fed/state, and there was never any delay in getting my money. i shouldnt have to pay a lump sum at the beginning of every year because a multi billion dollar company cant get their paperwork straight. id be alright not having a return, but owing after ive been paying all year is dumbtarded

T13 01-25-15 05:56 PM

Hulk mad! Hulk smaaaashhhh!

If your flexibility is that bad search for images of "Arnold front squats" and try that out.

Yeah, that sucks. Lester's plan is good if you actually invest in stocks and such, because letting the IRS hold on to money that you will just be getting back later keeps you from being able to invest it and get any return. If you don't invest your money it is certainly more pleasant to end up with a refund, just be aware that this is basically the least beneficial way to save money over the course of the year because you don't earn interest on it and it is inaccessible except for a yearly "withdrawal."

Any tips for healing an ankle. Don't think I ever broke mine but i've sprained my right ankle at least 10+ times. I used to skateboard so it was quite common. Well I havent skated in years and I picked it back up a few months ago only to roll my ankle again. This happened about 100 days ago. It was the worst i've ever sprained it and i am still wearing an ankle brace every day. Haven't been able to ride my bike like i want to. I'm worried something is wrong because my ankle normally ws back to perfect after a week or two. It's been over 3 months now :/

i would like to, but im poor so its hard to set aside money so invest let alone save, which is why its hard to pay hundreds (thousands?) at the beginning of the year, i dont have much just sittin around

my return used to go into savings as my emergency fund/pay bills

give it plenty of time to heal and work onstretches and mobility. my right ankle was the worst, compound fracture of the talus. two screws plus it pops and cracks now. the cold effects it and im still working on mobility and that was in 06.

It's hard to let it heal when I'm so active... Running with my pit, biking, going to the gym, etc. I'll try rotating and stretching it. Its such a bummer because its so limiting. I'm sure you know how it is though

GENESTARWIND 01-25-15 11:32 PM

you need to chill for a bit and take a break and let it heal no matter how much you want to be active. you could further your injury and post pone the healing process or damage it further

Dannihilator 01-25-15 11:42 PM

Be safe to those in the northeast and in the path of this storm.

murrellington 01-26-15 12:19 AM

As much as I hate your advice I know its best. I have been a lot less active ever since, but it seems like its not enough. Maybe I just gotta sit on the couch the next month.

I screwed up tendons that hold your foot arch in place back in like 05, took me like a year and a half before I could even skate again. It sucks but that's life.

Today was a very non-portlandy day.

it sucks but you can do other things. you will thank yourself later when nothing hurts or is problematic down the road.
you can still gym just avoid exercises that put stress on the ankle. no compound exercises, leg press or hack squat machines, focus on isolation for lower body like leg extensions ect and keep the ankle loose. you might be ok with swimming because it's low impact but ask some other folks around here or a sports doctor.

Today I: realized upon closer inspection and brushing aside some awesomeness, that my pasela PT's are not aging so gracefully :(

Alas the gumwall curse!

Trivial cosmetics aside, plenty of life left. I already consider I got my moneys worth already from this set.

Sunlight really does a number on them. I've found that occasionally wiping the sidewalls down with Pedro's Bike Lust makes them last considerably longer.
