First day of the new semester! and it already seems like things may not go so well because whoever was supposed to be the new instructor went off for a different job, so... yeah. One of my lecture instructors is sub-ing for the week but we need a shop instructor.

i had that happen for a computer class, i specifically selected the class because a friend recommended the professor. first day of class the guy went off to some other country to do some kind of work and a woman who was on sebbatical for 12 YEARS comes back for the class and has no idea what shes doing. good times.

in related news im most likely gonna be going back to school in the fall. yay school.

Today I...

hit an all-time low for jonesing for the day the doctor gives me the OK to ride my bike again (all-time low for biking in general)-

In december I got my settlement check... got a late manual e36, bolted on some steelies wrapped in Hakkapeliita R8's...yesterday finally recieved via amazon a fresh batch of Eddie Glass-era Fu Manchu cd's to fill up the 6-d changer in the beemer. Today's result of Marcus in upstate NY- I am the baddest mofo on the road. So fun.

@Scrodzilla that puch looks stunning in the photo, was it absolutely covered in grime and dirt when the offer was made or was the kid a bit of a ja? Even in my podunk town that's a $5-7K scooter all day long. Heck I sold a Bridgestone 200 with rust pitting in all of the chrome and a few mismatched bits for 4k, and nobody cares about Bridgestones.

I went to a local bike shop to ask if I could use a pump since my front tire was super low after I got out of work and I wanted to avoid using my co2 and as I came into the store I asked the dude behind the desk politely if I could use a pump or air, he gave me a weird look and said no, we sell pumps...

I've never had issues with a shop letting me use air, even some tools like lock ring pliers. Dudes have been nice so I come back and buy stuff **** that shop though.

I gotta make you do it outside (not a lot of floor space, ya dig), but I'll let you use a pump.

That guy is a dick. I bet they charge like 8 bucks for a tube.

Today(this weekend) I was invited to compete in some local races. Only thing is that they require that I ride fixed without brakes. I'd probably hurt myself.

Haha, Yeah I lived in Glendale for a couple of years a few years back, now I live on the edge of Forest Hills. Every place in nyc wants to be gentrified, its going to happen sooner or later unfortunately. There are alot of polish/eastern europeans in Ridgewood because all of the hipsters kicked them outta Greenpoint :/
We should definitely go out for a ride when the weather gets better!

Today I have the day off again from work. Have a dentist appointment- going to have my last cavity filled!!!

Which model do you have ? MSRP on the 2015 CAAD10 with 105 gruppo is only $1620. Perhaps you are overestimating its street value.

Sram red/force

Has a Thomson seatpost and tubeless wheels also.

OK, so $2820 MSRP for the 2015 Force, so maybe your price is reasonable depending on condition, but you rarely recoup much on upgrades like the Thomson seatpost, and tubeless wheels on street bikes are unimportant to most people. The problem is that you are competing with a lot of people selling similar items and that shops often have major discounts on clearance of new 2014 bikes.

You make good points. I'm not even trying to recoup on the thomson or wheels, I'm just using them as selling points over a stock new bike.

I guess I'll just wait until someone wants it.
