Kinda want to learn how to overclock my pc. I'm not unsatisfied with my performance, but I just want to see what overclocking can do.

Free performance is the name of the game.

The first question I have to ask is, is this a store bought computer or you built it yourself?
What's the specs?
If it's a computer from you bought from a major brand or a non ####K intel CPU with a locked multiplier you're out of luck as far as any beginner should attempt.

Built it myself.

Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Mobo
AMD FX-8350 CPU
AMD R7 265 GPU
8 GB DDR3 ram I think. Not too sure.

From what I've seen so far, its just tweaking numbers, and seeing if your computer can handle it in a benchmark. Might try it out when I have some free time.

Looks like you're good to go.

Protips:
Overclock in incremental babysteps
Just because it boots to windows doesnt mean you're in the clear, you're going to need to test for the stability of your OC; because nobody likes a surprise BSOD while browsing SS/FG
Do not modify voltages unless you know 100% what you are doing; you could alternatively use the AI tuning that comes in Asus mobo BIOS which is pretty safe assuming you dont stray outside of it
You will be shortening the life of your components by operating them outside of manufacturer's spec; the harder you push it, the more wear and tear. Sure you found a OC that is stable at 6Ghz, doesnt mean you should stay there.

overclocking in winter >>>

"aftermarket" boards make overclocking far less of a headache.... my current has an auto-step overclock and profile slots to save various bios settings.

Wasn't paying attention and got caught in the trolley tracks, went down right in front of the crowd waiting at the stop.

Do you have an upgraded CPU cooler? If not, get one. The stock cooler is trash.

I have some thermaltake cooler. I think. I changed it because the stock one was too loud.

Get that and never turn back.

Aka motherboard outside of those from the likes of those found in prebuilt HP, Dell, etc... I believe you can overclock some current alienware if you didnt pay extra for them to take out the guess work and OC it out of factory. Yes, you can overclock with the jankiest biostar or ECS boards.

Laptop users are SOL.

i've been able to OC a few HP boards on just the fsb. nothing else. i thought that was a haedache until i came across a toshiba. can't even get into the bios unless you enable it thru their bloatware.

tell me ------- can i restore my iphone to stock speed being that it's underclocked? i'm sure someone's figured it out.

Not a chance, all of those HP/ Dell/ etc. boxed PC's are locked down to the teeth. Think about it this way, that's one less responsibility/ liability for them to deal with; out of question, out of mind.

You can only overclock a iphone if it's jailbroken. You can find the software in a cydia repo.
Your battery life will suffer.

You're better off keeping an old OS on that even with overclocking, other wise lag city lag lag city *****.

If you have a 3G and lower device you can install custom white door OS on it that has some of the newer additions of newer iOS's which otherwise dont officially support the device.

i actually used it to underclock the thing to save battery, and it worked out pretty nicely.

the slow mo camera is finally up to snuff on the 6 series. appdevs r prolly holdig back on pushing the capabilities of the 6..... iirc most are underclocked from the factory as well... im curious if it runs back at stock upon jailbreaking.

im curreny with a 5c; which surprisingly works seems to work in my favor. plenty of naked drops and fumbles and not a single cracked screen. plastic frame has an advantage! aha. -4s n its SS frame cracked screens like they were disposable.

But have you been able to make it bend tho? That's the defining feature of the 6+
