If you're on a quill setup, fork out the extra few bucks to get more quill stems and have a separate bar/stem combo for each setup. That way you just drop in a new bar+stem when you want a setup.

Bought a Trek 660... total impulse buy that I could barely afford. It's one of my dream bikes, though. It marks my first foray into vintage steel
If it doesn't fit Portland has a VERY strong bike resale market, especially with some old steel, shimano 600, and bits of campy record. With what I paid via best offer, I bet I could even make some money.
Now I have to play the waiting game!

had two flights to New York cancelled today, was supposed to be flying in to LaGuardia
I helped a family friend move a bunch of stuff from his ex-wife's house. In return he gave me a few of his old very nice leather jackets. Too bad it has been hitting the 80s lately, I want to wear them!

Holy crap, BD's offerings have gone to new lows.... yeah I had to go there for a friend who needs a "cheap" bike that has to be "new".
For example, my *former* go to cheap road bike suggestion was like this:

To this:

Dual to single pivots, cheaper tires & rim, cheaper cassette, no more chainstay protector, no more clips & cages included, even the quick release skewers are those flimsy soda can ones you see on walmart bikes.

but the forecast certainly makes it look like it could finally be over, and iirc thats what happened last year, a storm like this then we were good
my problem is my car cant go anywhere when theres more than a dusting cuz the tires are bald as ****, if i had traction on my bike it would actually make it easier to get to work

We need to go for another ride soon. Show me some cool parts of S.I!
im down, though there arent many of those, lol. the cool stuff to ride isnt on roads
the value of my current heap is less than a set of new tires, and theres about $2000 worth of other repairs that it technically needs, so it would be advantageous for me to get rid of it at this point. this is probably its last year of life tbh
i dont really need a car here, it just makes things like errands and going into jersey for stuff a lot easier (or possible, in the case of NJ)

The worst.
Almost every time I've ever been on the BART from Oakland into SF, there has been a bum, who is passed out across three seats, literally pooping himself.
