Really like the look of these clips and the fact they have a little more clearance for bigger shoes. I decided to order a pair for myself, can't wait for them to arrive

Hope you like them as much as I do

Geez, took some time off BFSSFG and now people are talking about coffee and denim?! I should check in more often.

This thread is relevant to my interests:
-I love my Francis Francis X5.
-After finally retiring a 4-year-old pair of APCs, I'm 2 weeks into a new pair of Bravestar 16.5 oz jeans. It was a full week before I could run up stairs normally. Also, my 3-year-old is getting some awesome knee fades on his Jack Spade x Baby Gap selvedges.
-Today I have one less bike, as my once beloved Trek 1x8 townie has gone to a new loving home. (Coincidentally, I also met Mumonkan IRL) Soon to be replaced by a Phil/Mavic wheelset that I just locked down.

Seems @Mumonkan is the one here who after Scrod, has met the most members. I will be in Staten Island the week on the 30th, I should try to meet him for a coffee, that way he can add me to his list, plus it is coffee related.

Muffin Man 03-16-15 07:29 PM

Levis 508 fit me pretty well, but my pair stretched quite a bit, and now they're a little too loose. can't find my size though.

I thought it was a fun fact. 16.5 oz is pretty heavy.

Bingo. Forgot to mention that they were "Slim Taper" fit. :p

TejanoTrackie 03-16-15 08:20 PM

I'm strictly a Levis 550 Relaxed Fit type of guy. I have an anti-hipster body. :p

Mumonkan 03-16-15 08:26 PM

i just got my first pair of raw selvedge denims from gap about a month ago, i like that theyre heavy, they feel like theyll last a long time
which is good because ive been strictly a levis man myself for years and i consider them invincible, ive yet to destroy a pair

Bingo.

^ You asked, just sayin.
Personally I think people care too much about their jeans, how it's made, and fades etc. But hey, everyone's gotta have a hobby... I wonder if there's a forum about jeans where people post a billion threads about what new type of jeans they should buy like all the "what fixie should I get" threads here.

If you're on a certain popular social media site where you upvote/downvote things... you can come hang out with us on /r/rawdenim.

Why is the name of the site banned here? Who knows. But it's pretty funny.

Mumonkan 03-16-15 09:43 PM

theres a ****ing kilt forum. theres gotta be a denim forum.

were in a subforum of a bicycling enthusiast forum, decdicated to people who ride single speed and fixed gear bicycles, thats pretty obscure when you think about it

I side with Tejano on this one. Red Green predates hipsterism.

Coming back on track, Today I went for the weekly ride with the guys and thanks to Dairy Queen having a giveaway we did an impromptu 'ice cream grand prix', where we planned out a route around town designed to hit half a dozen of the local DQ stores. We wanted a bit of a recovery ride anyhow, since there was an alleycat on Saturday and several of the riders were still recovering.

I didn't ask about the guy's jeans. I asked about the "unable to run up the stairs" comment.

Hipsters turn everygoddamnthing into a hobby/event.
