I definitely don't own 6k worth of clothes, let alone jeans. I tried jeans on a few years ago, felt gross.
it took me 3 months to justify my purchase of raw denim, and those were only $50 (employee discount), i could never see myself spending the full $100+ on a pair of jeans, and certainly not 60 times.
i own like 5 pairs of jeans and a few pairs of khakis, i dont even know if i have 60 articles of clothing
then again ive spend thousands on bicycle **** and furniture, different strokes
ftfy

Heyyyy you cant be changing my sentences like that! I just got censored by the forum Yoda for doing that! hahaha
I'm not sure why you changed my sentence anyway. Just to make it more broad, instead of just China?
Jared: that sucks dude. Hope you feel better. Get some Kefir it yer diet, homie.
$6,0000 worth of jeans??? Are you ****ing kidding me??? No wonder yer not married anymore(sorry, bad joke?).. Just curious, what kind of jeans were these? It seems to me that most denim, regardless of the brand, or price is Chinese sweatshop made, so I can't even fathom dropping that much $ on anything like that. I WILL buy a pair of good, broken in, USA made Levi's if I find them in a thrift store. It's hard for me to justify buying something, based on the brand, if the brand is just another brand made in a low wage paying country.
Ray-Bans are being made in China now too. WTF. The whole world is going to ****.

I will just say this. She had twice as many as I did. And no, that is not the reason we are not married any more. At the time, it is what we wanted to do, and we could afford it, so we did. It isn't something that I am proud of, rather embarrassed but it is what it is, and the whole thing is done.
Aww man, I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to speculate about yer marriage, or embarrass ya about yer jeans buying addiction....****, i just dropped a bunch of $ on one of these:
dem TOOBZ
i changed your sentence to sortof answer your own statement about everything being made in china
most american companies are more concerned with profit margins instead of quality products
and dont worry, it censored my ****, not your ****

One of my back-burner projects (since bikes consume all of my hobby time now) has been to build a Dynaco ST-70 (EL34's) clone. It was such a popular amp back in the day, that there is a healthy community of hobbyists to discuss parts substitutions, and several clone kits are produced now.

Did you buy them in person, or online? Be careful buying them online. You will almost always get Chinese made ones. They are not "bootleg" either. They are "real" Raybans, but made in China. And still cost the same.
Scott: Yeah man, they sound great, and I have a tone of EL34's and 12AX7s lying around from my guitar /bass amps.....Pretty handy.

Oooooh! It's interesting how EL84/6BQ5's have made their way into hi-fi over the last few years.

I'm a ***** for marantz & mcintosh. You guys won't believe how many units I've picked up on the cheap that needed "work" but only needed deoxit on the pots and faders.
Also, ghettoblasters.

I can also vouch the hifi community is more tight knit than the cycling community.

I don't know, there's a good amount of cork sniffing, elbow patch wearing, pretention in that crowd, just like any.
The Luxman I just picked up is very similar to some Marantz/Mcintosh stuff...

I tend to hang more around the technical parts of it anyhow. Little did I know there were so many fellow passionate hifi people around SD.
I would ring up one of them about an obscure part that I can't find anywhere and they would be like "Oh I have that part" come and get it for well below market price from me.

I fix/ refurbish receivers and tube gear for funsies; occationally re-coning the JBL or advent speaker. It's a good way to flex my soldering skills.

And the best part about old gear is there's plenty of it left around. Go to your local flea market every weekend and you'll hit jackpot eventually.

It doesn't matter where they're made. They're plastic. Italy has slave like conditions too, you know. The words "Made in Italy" mean practically nothing.
Anyways. Anyone listen to the new Death grips album yet?

Lol I'm using a pair of Superlux 668B. Didn't like the pads that came with it, and put velour pads on that nearly doubled what they were worth haha

I've had a pair of both and the Asian made ones were garbage. I'm sure there are slave like conditions everywhere. Asia happens to be pretty well known for it though.
