Today(yesterday, Saturday actually) I put in 30 miles on the Basso, after having not ridden a FG for more than a couple miles in about 4 years. It was a perfect day for it. The temps were in the mid to high 60s and sunny. The only thing that sucked were a few mile long, small grades with headwinds the whole length. Also, boy does my ass hurt today. Haha

Finished our annual nighttime 200K brevet about 1:00 this am. Highlight was getting surprised by the couple monster truck tires lying in the shoulder. I managed to swerve off into the gravel but grabbed too much front brake and endovered. Landed on my shoulder, then the bike landed on me. Got up sore as hell but still in one piece, rode another three hours to the finish. Moral of the story, don't keep your headlamp on low just because you're cheap with batteries.
Today I'm having super awesome random leg cramps / spasms, after pushing myself way too hard on a short (~30 miles) and fun but stupid ride yesterday. Climbed twin peaks twice (once from each side) in 47x16 while carrying a pannier full of several people's locks, food, beer. Was worth it, but damn. Shoulda drank way more water instead of beer and/or not mashed so hard trying to keep up with my friends on a tandem who were crushing it.
I I did that, left the car so long in the driveway that people asked if it was buggered or for sale !
Made the move down to the coast and decided it was time to go car less. Congrats on the weight loss and health progress ! People down here tell me I will be the healthiest dead person when I go !
Every time I need to drive my truck, I need to charge the battery for about a day to get it to run. Which I need to do again, so I can take it the car wash and list it for sale.
I still have another car, but the truck is going bye-bye!

ive been driving only a handful of times per month since i started riding again in march. my car is on its last legs so im pretty sure this is gonna be my last year without a car. ive had the same thing with the battery though the past couple years once it gets to winter, snow day hits and i go to drive and the battery is dead. "oh darn. sickday."
all i need is to setup my lockup bike with some racks and ill be good to go
