Today I woke up to snow falling. Damnit. I won't ride my fixed gear in this weather, so time to start converting the frankenbike back into something more all weather. Seriously considering ripping apart everything I have done so far and just going back to a flat bar and they hydraulic brakes.

Probably fighting over seat versus saddle, and you could have solved it for them. Shame on you?

Today I put my 54th hash mark on my dry erase board/calendar.
54 days without walking. Left leg is atrophied to a skinny ass Jello noodle. I told myself to be patient, but this is really getting old. Next Doc appointment is December 23rd. |
Today I rode brakeless for about an hour and my mileage was zero.

Mirepoix (carrots, celery and onions), herbs de Provence, garlic, lemon pepper, extra virgin olive oil, whiskey (cause I had some handy for deglazing), and a few other secrets : )
My son makes one where he braises onions, celery, bell peppers and garlic in olive oil, until the onions caramelize and then makes the broth with it. I think he adds a bit of Marmite, Miso and Pimenton de la Vera (smoked paprika) for extra flavor. Perhaps I just revealed his secret ingredients |

No. Homemade stationary trainer.
Homemade deserves a pic. Also, I just popped your "Mentioned" cherry @TejanoTrackie Edit: Why u no pop? TT must have special powers, some even say he is "Unmentionable" |
Yesterday I wandered into an LBS, requisite chat, mentioned that I was thinking of custom Ti frame and the owner pulls a 56cm Moots w/full Dura Ace off the shelf.
Didn't sleep much last night... http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ucTukzWE5o...1600/moots.jpg |

http://s18.postimg.org/vqnguk6hl/image.jpg Installed my Phil BB yesterday and slapped this neat sticker on my frame. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/775/2...89933280_b.jpg Today I'm figuring out what rim I want re-lace the hubs from my old wheelset into. Budget/beater set with ~23mm width. |

I have a bike with a wheelset that has one single philwood spoke, that counts right?
Confession: I have the collector's gene. I'm currently using Phil hubs and BB and I've practically already convinced myself I need their headset that's supposed come out in 2016 and their seat collar. It's a sickness. At least I got to feel validated for buying the bottom bracket when I pulled the Sugino BB out I installed last January (3,000 miles) and found it had a rough spot in it. |
Last cross race of the season today for me, think I placed top 5ish, wanted to race Bs also but it was back to back so I didn't have time to recover.
Found this cool video of last week's mud bath. Won't embed cause it's slightly NSFW. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntnvOrOGBbE |
