Thanks, but luckily for me skiing was something I liked, not loved. I love MTBing, and as long as I am careful not to mash, my knees get healthier from biking. And, in an couple of hours I will be doing my first fat biking on snow!

Cheers and beware, fat biking is extremely addictive.

I put risers on my Super Pista, rode it up and down the street in the rain. Not sure how long I'll run them.

I have some to try on my TK2 when I get back from Chicago. Not sure how long I will run them either. Today I am still debating if I want to ride to work or not. Rained last night and this morning and it is still very wet out. Just don't want to have to clean the bike again for the 6th time this month.

I enjoy road drops the most on it, but wanted to give risers a shot. I'd have to take it out on an actual ride to really figure out how I feel about them.

Pretty decent mileage/climbing in SoCal last week.

160 miles/17,000 ft elevation gain.

I need someone to talk me out of buying some Nitto bar plugs. They're so unnecessarily pretty.

Regulatori 12-23-15 09:12 AM

I have a set and they're awesome. They squish down and then the allen key fully seats them. They seem high end too.

Sorry, wrong person to ask but they're so much better than plastic.

SquidPuppet 12-23-15 11:08 AM

Yesterday I walked for the first time in TWELVE weeks. Using a walker and only putting about 10% weight on the damaged foot. Also did 20 minutes on the stationary bike with no resistance. It's weak and wobbly, but doesn't really hurt, so that's a start.

Yeah, they might be my first order from Scrod.

I can't remember how you got injured, but glad to hear you're making progress. Sounds super crappy.

Thanks guys. Fractured calcaneus. Eleven pieces. NEVER break this bone.

I've broken ribs, collars, knuckles, thumbs, ankles and legs. I have some plates, straps and screws from previos repair jobs and they were all "no big deal". This thing is a challenge.

I've never had a problem with them.

Re: Bar plugs, the MashSF ones are like the nitto ones, but come in cool colors. Not weight weenie though.

I went hiking while the wife and boys went skiing. They found a route through the trees. The golf course is a Jack Nicklaus golf course, as you can tell.

seau grateau 12-23-15 10:04 PM

Did about 20 miles before work today. Noticed a weird noise. Just checked the bike and it turns out I had pulled the wheel crooked in the rear dropouts and a few of my chainring bolts were loose.

SpeshulEd 12-24-15 11:00 AM

Work: Hi Ed, I'm off today, can you do this for me?
Me: **** off! I mean, I'm off today too, Merry Christmas.

My life.

Huffandstuff 12-24-15 11:24 AM

Today I wish I didn't tear my cross bike apart, getting off early and it would be a perfect day to go ride it.

johnnytheboy 12-24-15 02:35 PM

It's 80* and sunny here. and I'm stuck inside doing family ****.
