it's a leviathan cross. I looked up the Leviathan Cross. It was created by the Knights Templar as a Christian symbol. The two bar Cross is called the Patriarchal Cross. The small bar at the top represents the plaque at the top of the Cross which read, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews." Interesting that Anton Lavey would adopt what is a purely Christian symbol for his religion. Many Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Churches still use the symbol. Hitler used a Sanskrit symbol for the swastika so I guess its no surprise. Thanks again. -PAX- |
Put in a good 50 miles of dirt in today in the Marin Headlands. Solid 6k feet of climbing.
Was clear when I left, but right as I started to crest the first peak the fog rolled in fast and thick. Visibility was probably a 65 feet. Still caught a **** ton of air coming down Old Springs Trail. First long ride on a 29er and they roll quick man. |

Thanks for the info. Symbols fascinate me.

Out of the box, it's more than capable as configured from Santa Cruz. A buddy of mine lent me his and it's amazing. |

it's also the alchemical symbol for sulphur.
Sulfur (?Leviathan Cross?) I find it ironic that it was a christian symbol for 800 years, that's all. I used to dabble in satanism in the late 80's and early 90's. Was a weird culture in and around NYC, some of it a little scary but most of it just anti-mainstream stuff. |
Too bad on the flat. I had one go up in my face the other day. Why? Because numnuts didn't check the spoke ends after truing a wheel

Went to see the Book of Mormon last night with my gf and her sister - absolutely hilarious. Being a South Park fan added some depth to the humor for me.

****ing cx-rays are friggin expensive, $200 just for spokes on next wheelbuild
yolo or whatever. |
