Much appreciated. Dog is taking care of me today. Was watching college hoops on the couch, and he was right on my lap. Good times.

Poc octal and Do blades get delivered monday! Excited to have a helmet that hasn't been crashed. Also going to LA next week to ride, so I'm super pumped for that.

Big organized ride or just with buddies?

Just a couple rides with friends. Going to swap frames with a friend for a 52cm hi mod, and then I think we're doing the cloudburst century on Wednesday, and then I might ride down in Riverside with a couple friends, and we'll see where else we go. I need to beat my friend's time up Chantry also, so that's a priority. He's way bigger than me, and I know I'm stronger than him, but somehow his time is faster than what I did, so I need to fix that.

Never did Cloud Burst but I have ridden a similar route out from LA going up from the backside on dirt trails and then down the mountain into Pasadena and back to LA.

Really good to hear your podalic problems have passed. You could almost say you have "defeeted" them. :p

it is always good when you don't attract the flat fairy's wrath.

Thanks gentlemen.

Defeeted. :roflmao2:

I still walk funny, but I think that will sort itself out with more time. I'm just feeling a huge sense of relief. The "not knowing" during the early stages was scary and depressing.

Just scored a ~2001 Lemond Maillot Jaune 853 frame and True Temper carbon fork. Frame is currently unpainted, so the set will be heading to powder/paint soon.

Probable build is Force 22 or Athena with some White Industries T11 hubs.

Thinking about a color scheme similar to this:

I just moved to Rock Springs, WY. Adjusting to constant wind better than I thought I would, so far.

Yeah, it's crappy over in Seattle too. Got a nice ride yesterday though. Brought extra supplies since it was the first time I had taken this bike out on tub tires...even though the roads were crappy, the tires performed excellent.

BTW..anyone else run tubular tires....and if yes, do you notice they tend to fling more small rocks around? There was a few times I ran over a small rock and it shot out sideways at a decent speed. I don't remember any clinchers doing it nearly as much.

That's how it starts. Then you'll feel a tail wind for maybe 5secs and remember what it could be like.

I'd say this is probably it. I notice it happening more when I'm over 100psi

Will be doing that at 11. Been off the bike since Wednesday am, where it was kind of cold and raining a little. Currently 40°F and wet, rain already passed through, 70% chance for more. Oh, I hate riding in this weather. Hate it.

Huge jump to 44°F and the rain let up, but the damp, cold and brutal wind did not. Lungs were burning since I am still coughing a lot. Felt good and horrible at the same time to be back on the bike.

Last night I determined that my Surly is too large, or rather the top tube is too long. May have to follow johnnytheboy's lead and geta Soma. More tire clearance and sliding dropouts are very attractive, plus that sexy orange.

Scored some MTB shoes for peanuts.

Today I am in Chicago, (Carol Stream).
Went into a Meijer to buy some fruit for dinner and saw this.

I had never heard of this. Don't really understand who this is marketed to.
Someone who doesn't know how to remove a wheel but can take the tire off?
Interesting.
