That's awesome! You're going to need a premium membership though to sell them here or have a link in your signature to it.

P.S. I think I saw some of your wares @ golden saddle the other week.

motrheadsroadie 07-01-16 04:41 PM

oh yeah, you can get some of my patches and sweatshirts at gsc.

I know several people in my shop would buy the shiz out of those muthas. I want one just for the hilarity.

Today I'm going to wrap up a SS conversion of my Centurion IM -- So stoked to get this bike up and running! Its been in the basement collecting dust ever since I moved back in Feb.

I have only been in Whistler in the winter, before this trip. A few things that are interesting to me. First, I have never seen such a high percentage of people in good shape (including here in the winter). Second, I have never seen so many DH bikes in my life, and people riding them around town (likely just from the lift to where they are staying). And, although the condo is very reasonably priced, the stores are ridiculous! I wanted another skull cap (couldn't find mine in my bag) and the bike shop wanted $31 for a basic non-branded skull cap that sells on Amazon for about $12. Now, I am just waiting for my first ride!

I'm typically a big LOGO hater, especially on wheels. But those being yellow, pull it all together and balance it out. I like it.

White cable housing is crisp and sanitary.

So I checked out Official Whistler Mountain Bike Park Website - Whistler, BC, Canada | Whistler Mountain Bike Park and the park looks fantastic.

Some of those surfaces look like they would would inflict BRUTAL abuse to your body if you had an Unintentional High Speed Dismount. I hope you are wearing all the trick protection that's available.

Today I'm heading down to the Sandy Eggo.

Today was XC, so the risk factor is a bit lower. Monday is DH, and I will stay away from the black diamond DH runs. At my age, the risk versus reward just isn't there anymore (these are truly hardcore DH runs with massive drops).

My guide today has guided all over Europe, and moved here just to be able to ride this mountain. I feel very lucky to be here, and damn tired!

Kindaslow 07-02-16 01:36 PM

My cell phone went dead, but I have decent picks on my camera (but I have to borrow the computer from my wife to upload them).

rode a lot of biek today, now im tired

gonna work for a couple hrs then try to find sum1 to go to the beach w me. GF is in Tejas visiting family.

Leukybear 07-02-16 03:11 PM

Went on a long climbing ride where half the time, this pair of riders kept leap-frogging past me with sprints.
Only they tired out quickly and I would repeatedly pass them with a smaller gap everytime.

I ended up smashing them on the descent where at the bottom, I awaited for their arrival as I was resting before turning around for more punishment. They didn't show up; which was perplexing as this was one of those windy mountain roads surrounded by open land.

I guess they turned back at the best part? (the decent) :foo:

day 2 of "do nothing week"

not riding bikes or running in the woods is hard man.

i havent felt 100% since my last race a month ago

this has easily been the most ambitious year of riding ive ever done so i havent been giving my legs enough rest. last week even at a recovery pace my legs were tired and crampy so i took it as a sign to be a fat sack of **** for a few days

TMonk 07-02-16 06:35 PM

Gotcha.

Your first couple rides back will probably also feel bad - you'll need to blow the cobwebs out. Funny how too much or too little riding makes you feel crappy.

Mumonkan 07-02-16 07:15 PM

getting back into running after an 8 year hiatus doesnt help either, muscles i forgot existed are getting woken from their tombs

its so infuriating how my heart can go all day but my calves have like 45 mins in them max. i just wanna go!

As a runner you probably already know this but what you describe is a perfect storm for injury.

The heart gets fit fast, yours already is from riding. Ligaments and tendons take a long time to get strong however, sometimes as much as 2 years. Aerobically you want to run but the joints can't take it. Don't increase your mileage too much at once.

There are a lot of opinions out there including not increasing more than 10% per week. The point is not to do something silly like one day decide to run 10 miles when the furthest you have ever run is five. Listen to your calves.

Nothing in the world like a runner's high. The closest I have ever come to it without running is on the fixed gear bike.
