Today I turned 23 and decided I need to buy a cycling kit! Probably the Heavy pedal suffer cat one because of the Belgian colours!

It is the economy press from Wheels Mfg. I realized last night that the threaded rod is too wide for the smaller bearings in the rear wheel so I have to make one anyway.

It was super nice to use though. Twist, done. My daughter was playing with it all night.

Heh, I would expect the economy version to be threaded rod, two nuts, two washers, and the old bearings. Probably not suitable for a shop where someone could see you working on their expensive wheels...

Swapped some parts out on my kids' 24" '95 Cannondale MTB. Working out the kinks to optimize 1x gearing on this old bike. A single 34T front ring and no derailleur instantly made the bike look 10% better.

This frame has so much potential. I will post my own pics when it's ready for primetime but here's an example (not my photo) of what I'm working with:

I'll be using the original matching rigid fork as well.

To go to interbike or not to go to interbike... that is the question.

Yeah I dont drink that much and I dont really want to. Occasionally is cool, but its too many empty calories and I gain weight way too fast to regularly drink.

I'm taking the lady out to dinner tomorrow night, "The Wine Sellar." Not the funnest neighborhod (Sorrento/Mira Mesa), but the food is delicious and the restaurant is kinda neat. We're going to drink .

edit: Have a great day planned for tomorrow with some road riding, mtb riding, and chore-sy type stuff before we meet in the early evening. It should be a nice day!

I'm headed to LA today for a long weekend...Seeing Radiohead Monday night, woo!

We're staying in Koreatown, so I'm guessing piles of Korean bbq is in my future.

Any cool places/bike shops nearby that I should check out? Any that rent bikes?

Bikes: 34 frames + 80 wheels

Today I figured out that the reason my wireless bike computer wasn't working is that there is some weird interference with my battery powered headlight. wtf !

Pound some electrolytes, eat a protein bar, and go sweat out the alcohol on the bike.

Of course if your head is pounding, sleeping might be the best choice.
