Didn't have it this morning - I could tell when I got up. Too much to drink at friends and family Easter celebration, hard weekend on the bike leaving me sore, late night yesterday w gf hanging out before her trip to Hawaii.
I went to Fiesta Island anyway and somehow managed to complete my first interval, but halfway through the second I pulled the plug. After a moderate day tomorrow (~75 min MTB/trail commute to work) I should be re-charged and ready to rock for Fiesta Worlds on Thursday and another hard weekend.

Today, randomly I wanted to see if i could find out some more info about my Bruce Gordon Chinook frame. It's one of 101 frames that he built (which i knew already) but I didnt know how to decipher the SN on the frame. A little google searching lead me to this page:
1984 Bruce Gordon Chinook Frame: 56cm, Metallic Black, Columbus Sl Lugged Steel, 101 Ever Made - Bike Recyclery
In the description of this ad it says how to decipher the SN. So I went into my garage to see what mine said and I was quite surprised that my frame is the one in the ad linked above.
Crazyness.
I only paid $50 for it though and it came with a fork

Mixed up a new batch of sauerkraut to start fermenting:

Then hacked down some new bars and set them up with a stem and Velo Orange cork blend grips I've had lying around for a while. I don't love the feel of the grips (they're too thick, and the cushioning feels dead), but the contours might provide a nice change of pace on occasion:

I did not, obviously, learn how to take decent photographs yet:

Yeah, they look really nice in person too; they're just not really right for their current application. I think they'd fit and feel better on more upright bars, perhaps when I turn my long-range commuter into a neighborhood cruiser after I move this summer or when I finally get around to building up my wife's new bike.
because of the way it's lined up with the fence it looks like the saddle has a.... ring in an explicit bodily area

Today I saw three A-10 Warthogs fly over my house on their way to Dobbins Air Reserve Base/Lockheed. One of the pilots was a bit rambunctious.
This is the first time I've seen tankbusters flying into the base.

Today I scrapped my (planned) 4 hour z2 road ride for a 2 hr z-whatever MTB ride
. I wanted a lazy Sunday morning and didn't feel like getting up early and 'on the grind' - and it feels great
.
Taking off now - peace!
