What are we jamming where, and is velox tape a protective covering to prevent unwanted results from said jamming???

Got specialize roubaix tape. It's actually pretty sweet. Super comfy and the adhesive doesn't leave a sticky mess

Remember about how i was saying i would go a whole pay period without buying anything for my bike? I lied.

Cheap san marco saddle, and swapped out the ****ty stock, stamped 16T cog for an All City 17T polished stainless CNC track cog. It's amazing how much quieter, and how much smoother the drivetrain is now.

That is true. Though I have a Nokia brick phone from a few years ago and a fancy iPad as well. So pretty similar to TT but I have embraced USB powered lights and am not afraid of charging them with computers or using the white iPhone/iPad brick that we both have.

A second Phil BB tool. Told myself I was gonna wait until winter was here to install that bottom bracket. I'm surprised I've waited this long.

Threw this on my front fork replacing a 3400 shimano sora brake. Big big difference. I can control my speed much better and come to an instant stop. Looks amazing in silver.

Not necessarily for the bike but for the rider, prescription photochromatic.

It took a while working with the doctor and optician, back and forth with the different labs before we were able to figure out which brand/lab could do what I want.

Finally have clear peripheral vision for looking over the shoulder at cars approaching from the rear.

Carradice Nelson long flap for my Raleigh clubman SSFG winter bike. Carries all the stuff on the all day bike errands. Not so much dependent on the messenger bag now.

The biggest difference was probably due to pads. Good brake pads on crappy brakes are a huge improvement. If the brakes weren't dual pivot then upgrading to that would also make a huge difference.

Though it never hurts to get something new and shiny : )

Actualy both calipers are dual pivot but the new 105's are the same mechanics as the ultegra and dura ace which looks completely different than the sora. They look much meatier and work better overall. Getting the Sora calipers to sit even and square was a constant mission. A slight misalignment and squeaking would ensue. I even had koolstop salmons on the sora without much improvement. I just could never get them perfect. The 105's were a flawless install and the mechanism just works better. I'm pleased.

Losing around 15 lbs and being able to keep it off means baggy kit, and baggy kit is no good.

Took the opportunity to get some new kitdoping stuff, and I'm pretty excited for this kit.

That is what I figured. I think most if not all Shimano calipers is dual pivot and has been for a while. Odd that the Sora was having those issues but there is a reason why 105 is more expensive it does tend to have more time into it which usually makes for a better product.

I thought about @thedapperest when I bought them. He recently posted a pic of himself riding in argyle socks and I was like, yeah, I'm getting me some argyle.

Wool. Wore them today for about 30 miles. Toasty!

Wool socks are worth every penny.

Wool blend. Pure wool is very itchy and shrinks badly. I also wear wool blend undershirts, hats and gloves in winter.
