43 in Orlando right now at 8:46 AM....will go out this afternoon for a 25-mile ride....on the Blanchard Park bike path....have to dodge the rollerbladers, walkers and dogs....
the real question is - did you carry that brick with you?[/QUOTE]
Yea it's the old curb trick. You got it down to a science. No I didn't carry it that's in my front yard. 26 miles today with 3 of my buddies. |
Went to jacksonville_baldwin rail-trail to meet a guy fro CL about some wheels.
45 mins round trip and 2 hours riding, nice MUP but, I can do better out here without driving. The longest I've riden fixed though... |
Rode with 2 of my older riding buddies. (64,72) We rode down by the Ochlockonee River. Nice afternoon got in 30. May have been the best day for riding for a while as weather is expected to get cold again early next week.
finally. rode in WNC this weekend....25+mi saturday, burningtown route in franklin and 30mi today, from folk art center to picnic area at craggy gardens.
Rode solo down past the Ochlocknee River and back 26 miles after work. Cold is blowing in tonight.
Hell NO! at 15 degrees windchill hitting 0 degrees I think not. no way am I prepared for that. dang that's just too cold for me. call me a wuz if you will. rather be a warm wuz than a frozen one.
I rode yesterday and today through all the snow in Asheville.

18 miles after work. Froze to death. Couldn't put enough on. Even my thighs were cold in windproof tights. Feet like ice cubes. It was 17 last night. Brrrr!! 70 by Sunday.

From Hot'Lanta!
wow did you see how hot it's gonna get this afternoon? 58 degrees? shoot will have to ride nekkid after riding so long in the deep freeze. wow! 58 degrees for the commute home. too bad about the west wind though. doesn't it ever blow from the east around here? |
Yes. Today it started feeling human again.
yes, finally. 42mi. started out quite chilly (for here), around 32F, but by the time we finished, it was mid 60's. 70F right now!!
Yes, but not enough. I'll have to try again tomorrow.
My dad is in town for the weekend and after we got back from the planetarium we went for a quick ride out to look at the state park mtb trails and back again just before dark... 7.5 miles.
25 very windy miles this afternoon. Yay!!! for being back on the bike!!
I was going to go out on the trace after I dropped my dad off at the airport but realized I had forgotten my shoes after we were well on our way. I went home and planned to go back to the trace - I could have made it back with enough daylight for a 1hr ride but got stuck behind a tractor on a windy 2 lane road for 10 minutes and was so frustrated I just turned around and went home. Now I'm going to eat a big bowl of double chocolate moose tracks to make me feel better.
In the 70's today. Did 24 miles solo after work. Had 3 days off to visit family over the week end in Atlanta. Good to be warm again.
Headed up to LBS with CL find, new fixie, 15'ish miles round trip, used MUS (multi-use-sidewalk) most of the way. No comp, no time, no speeds, just spinning thru the sprawl.
heck yea! 18mi during my lunch hour. gawd - it feels good to be back on the bike!!
21 miles after work in horendous 15 mph winds and higher gusts. At least it wasn't cold. What a workout though.
18mi last night.
18mi, wolfpack classic rr route
I went to go out this morning and thought it was warm enough out... made it 10min out and had to turn around b/c my ears hurt terribly. Seemed to have stiff breeze in every direction... what a waste.
36mi. wolfpack classic road race.
