45 miles. This year I am "sort of" tracking my miles, but being this is my first year of cycling I am not writing it down or anything. Next year I should have a power meter that will track not only my power levels, but also how many miles I have ridden.
My goal for next year is to reach 5,000 (roughly 100 miles a week with 2 weeks of 0 miles)
Very easy goal, but it is better to start small. Also I will be racing next year IF my weight is 175lb. or below.

Got up early so I could be on the road at 7:30. We had some rain last night so it was really foggy this morning. So much moisture in the air that my glasses kept fogging up and I had to take them off. I did ride for a little over 17 miles though.

Slo Spoke, I have the same problem, can't see without my glasses! Good thing I was on a mostly empty trail as anything much smaller than me may have gotten run over!

The air was like soup here this morning. I was soaking wet just carrying the bike down the steps. I road about 5 miles and stopped at a C-store and got a cup of coffee. I guess I waited about 25 minutes hoping things might clear a little but the didn't. Visibility was less than a quarter of a mile until about an hour after sunup. I run lots of of lights on my bike but I still saw some cyclist and joggers out their with out lights. Usually the tunnel under SR 434 is locked until sunup but for some reason it was open this morning which made me very happy as SR 434 and Markum Woods is a very dangerous intersection to get across.

I did my usual 13'ish round trip commute today. I was draggin' this am and missed an opportunity to ride alone with the boss before he leaves for the nationals in Kentucky next week. Might have been a good time to catch a few pointers and what not from him while he builds his training for the races. I'll pick back up my 35+ mile days tomorrow.

I know what you mean, it was the same here! I had little droplets of water all up and down my arms and legs, like someone had sprayed me with a plant mister. I kept feeling little drips on my legs, then I realized it was water dripping off the visor on my helmet. That got me watching as the drops formed and then dripped off. It may be the same here again tomorrow as it just started raining again. Can't complain though, it's good to see the drought finally end.

13.4 yesterday, 22.5 today. It was actually pretty nice here this morning, not as humid with calm winds. Thunder storms all around now though.

Friday 6/26/09... Got out a little late today, the goal was to do 50 but due to the late start and storm clouds moving in I cut it short. My goal for this year is 6,000 (s)miles and I am tracking at 6,500 as of now. If everything stays the same I should make it with (s)miles to spare.

No matter who you are or how far/fast you ride HYDRATE... HYDRATE... HYDRATE...

Rode another 7.6/43.XX minutes. I planned on riding a full 10 but time constraints killed that. I will get there though.

Didn't ride yesterday, to much rain and thunder. We had about 1.5" here yesterday. It did clear up some in the afternoon, but was too hot by then. I rode 17.2 miles this morning, dodging rain storms all the way. I got a little wet on the way home, not too bad though.

I got outta the house a few minutes late thurs and fri and had to ride with my commuter pack (last weighed at 12+ lbs or a little more than half the weight of my bike) for the 20-25'ish mile shop ride at 'bout 18 mph.

Flated during ride on friday and then got a ride home after work do to a small storm system that didn't seem to want to go away.

The saturday 7:30 shop ride was 37 miles and it felt like I pulled nearly half that at 20 mph, thats the most work I've done since getting back on the bike and I was tired enough to ask for a ride home.

Did I mention we've been having 100+ heat index for like 2 weeks now?
