Not necessarily a flaw, just not nearly as "tight" as other brands.

My buddy just bought these from Surf City. I was there as his "consultant" and these shoes are not the old "specialized" shoes. They seem to have put some serious thought into these. I will wait to hear your review. Remember- white shoes only between labor day and memorial day!

chimivee 02-15-08 07:26 PM

Gretzky, you need your own thread.

Funny you should say that Barry, as I did not go there (Surf City Cyclery) today to buy shoes. I saw the new 08's, and made the cardinal mistake of trying them on  and as they say, the rest is history :D

BTW, I threw a blue pair of these bad boys in there

I forgot about the liners with the variable arch. That is an idea that is long overdue! I might just buy the high arch liner and put in into my Sidis. You would not tell anybody, right?

I'm not. If I were six feet tall, Gretzky would be found unconscious on the side of the road.

Sans bike and shoes.

Are these the same size? Did you buy Catherine a bike, or just get a spare for yourself? LOL. I know she will enjoy it a lot. Stay safe and I hope to see it in person on Sunday. BTW, how is the SRAM red treating you?

She is on a 54, while mine is a 56. I can ride a 56, or 58, but after several test rides the 56 won me over.
We'll be there Sunday for sure, as well as today. Are you riding today?
I couldn't be more happy with SRAM Red, and highly recommend it :)

Blastinbob 02-16-08 08:29 AM

I won't have a problem finding you two riding together on PCH.
