Yet the avg speed on my cyclometer show 16.3mph only.

we were going to SLOW!!

It's a snapshot of what I would have been had I stayed in the south. And I'm not kidding. I would have been a smoking alcoholic for sure...and from there the possiblities of what could have been are endless.

Again with the shaved legs? Dude, you are paying too much attention to your men friends legs. Go look at some nice women, maybe wash your eyes out.

It was fun Shai. It had a bit more hammering on the flats than I would generally prefer but overall it was a good toughness.

I was pretty burned after the last climb. I went up Rockstore at 185 heart rate the whole way. 183 on Mureau and 180ish on Mullholland or w/e the hell that street was(the first one)

Scott used to be really fast, he told me he hasn't been riding lately.

Shai you coming tomorrow? I hope we get to hammer again, this time you pull :)

Shprung 06-30-07 09:42 PM

Big John, no female riders today :-( and with the speed Ovo calls SLOW, I have to sit as close as I can and suck someone wheal for a while. Beyond the color of his tire, I can tell his shoes and legs.

Here are the only 2 photos I have from a rest stop in westlake:

Ovo, I am not coming tomorow (my Son 7th birthday party), but will ride to Santamonica at 5:00PM or so for few extra miles; probably alone, but if anyone want to join, I would love it!

ovoleg 06-30-07 09:46 PM

Shai I couldn't catch you when you were going downhill :( You flew by me on Decker!!

Shprung 06-30-07 10:04 PM

This was a bit scary downhill. In some point I locked my rear (and maybe the front too) because I had to go from 45 to 15 before a nasty right turn. I need to do this road few more times to learn it because I am sure I can go faster in my bicycle than what I can do with my harley (due to the narrow hard turns)

Remember we talked about prostheses/bionics legs, and I mention a TV show way before you born,
read all about it in wikiperia . Here is a small part
"
In medicine, Bionics means the replacement or enhancement of organs or other body parts by mechanical versions. Bionic implants differ from mere prostheses by mimicking the original function very closely, or even surpassing it.
This definition of bionics is best known to the general public in reference to the television series The Six Million Dollar Man, in which the titular cyborg character is referred to as a "bionic man." In the mid-1970s, when scientists in a popular TV series rebuilt a wounded, barely-living test pilot into the world’s first bionic man, making him “better, stronger, faster,”...

"
For the 40+ of us that love the show, here is the music from the TV

oh! and to all the folks out on the SB ride today. thanks for wiating for my slow a$$! and thanks to vance for dragging me back to ventura.

ovoleg 06-30-07 11:21 PM

VanceMac 07-01-07 12:21 AM

Ovo -- are those long sleeves in the valley today???

(And, are those new shorts? ;) )

same shorts and with a patch, its only that one spot that got owned so I made due with it by a patch. I don't really care how they look, i'm not in a fashion show.

Yes long sleeve, I dont want to get sunburned and sunblock sucks( i have spf 70 and it doesn't work...).

Actually I didn't expect so much climbing yesterday otherwise I would have wore short sleeve. The ride had a maximum of 1000' of climbing and we ended up doing 4100' with some nice hammering on the flats/downhill

I hate riding on the freeway, even though it's only a couple miles.

Shprung 07-01-07 11:16 AM

I don't want to know, but if you do, it's O.K. with me. Maybe you could do a study, a poll, find the percentage of shavers vs non shavers, men and women, of course.

OK, I'll go first. I don't shave my legs. If others don't like it, so what.

I like 'em shaved or unshaved - just make sure they're in spandex. :D
