Got me a new R/C car and slapped an old Mercedes body I had lying around - turned it into a "drift" car by switching the rubber tires out for 2" ABS plastic tubing cut to fit and modifying the suspension.

I can't operate/drive the darn thing with one hand and take pictures with the other, so excuse the last two poor attempts at a rolling shot.

Let's race! I'm thinking of getting a Nismo GT-R TT01 instead of fixing my HPI.

I think HPI makes drift tires.

TT01 is a great chassis in the limited time (1 week or so) that I've had experience with it. I have some hop-ups already installed (i.e. Sport-Tuned motor, some bearings), and have a few awaiting delivery (oil shocks, aluminum drive shaft/motor mount/heat sink/suspension arms, CF upper plate, etc., etc.) - hopup availability for this chassis is insane, and the chassis itself seems indestructible.

I've used the HPI drift tires before - they're good stuff. They are rubber but you add a ring around it, making it break traction. I'm too cheap to fork out $11 a set, though - I got the 2ft.-long ABS pipe at Home Depot for $1.68, and it makes 6 sets of tires to last me a year.

My mom, sis and BIL took the kids to Disneyland yesterday. :) The goofy hats apparently proved themselves to be a great investment. Mom said she didn't have problems keeping them in sight the entire day. :D

Oh, I wasn't putting myself down, I swear! I think I'm hot peaches...but you are a bowl of strawberries and then some. ;) I'm working on it. Speaking of, I haven't broken my disciplined eating not even once since starting yesterday (no alcohol for sure). And I've worked out both days! I'm back on track to meeting my goals and it feels pretty darn good. :D
