Need Help With Rear Wheel Identification
Hello and thanks to you all, I hope I'm posting my question in the right forum, I have been reading posts on this forum for quite sometime now and usually find the answers I need, except for the question I'm about to ask, I recently picked up a 1973 Schwinn DeLuxe Twinn tandem bike and it came with a spare rear wheel, I got to looking at the spare one and it has skip tooth sprocket on it and it's definatley not going to work on my tandem, I believe it's 26 inch size and Schwinn of some sort. So heres my question, does anyone have any idea what this rear wheel came off of? THANKS in advance

Any writing on the rim? Words or numbers?
That is one rusty freewheel - does it only have 4 cogs?

it has 5 cogs, and i can't locate any markings on the wheel or any of the sprockets, i cleaned it up slightly with an SOS pad hoping to find some sort of an identification stamp or marking, bike store down the street from my house thought it appeared to be from an old twinn tandem pre 1942, I have a problem with throwing away parts that I think someone out there could use so i would like to find out what it fits in an attempt to find some poor soul that has been searching for one of these, lol

I would say late 1970s, early 1980s.
No way it is pre-1942. Google will throw up nice pictures of bicycles of that era, they don't have stamped mild steel pie plates and 5 cogs.

How about some measurements? Specifically BSD, and OLD.
Is the rim steel or aluminum?
The freewheel is a mid 1970's Suntour; a large number* of "10 speeds" from that era cam equipped with that freewheel and bolt on rear axles.
