Big Apples for me. 2.0s leave plenty of room for fenders.

Bikes: Bottecchia CF frame and fork, Ultegra 6603 crank and FD, DuraAce RD, Easton Vista wheels, Brooks B-17 saddle, Shimano 105 brakes, Michelin Pro2 Race tires

I have the standard Schwalbe Marathons, and like them a lot. The Plus are heavier and more flat resistant, and the Supremes are lighter. If I don't get any flats with these, I may try the Supremes next time, but not sure.

What will you be using the bike for?
Commuting? Fast rides? Tarmac? Off-road? Heavy load?

No scrubbing involved actually... the day I brought mine home the Surly decal started to flake and peel off. I think the stickers are lower-quality than usual, but this is not a bother to many LHT buyers because they see the advantage in an unmarked, less-flashy "utility" aesthetic. At least, that's the case for me. Some day I'll sit down and peel them all off.

I'm running 50s Supremes right now.

Next time I'll go with 1.6 something or other.

50s are damn big. More tire than I need anyway.

Nice and stable though.

I like Panracer Paselas....32mm...there is one with a folding bead that can be rolled up and thrown into a pannier for a spare...

they can be deflated for when you hit some looser terrain...

I have a general aversion towards logos so that's why I removed mine...

I didn't know there was a trend. I've been pulling decals and stickers off for a very long time, and not just off of bikes and components.

Bikes: Fat Caad Lefty, Foundry Overland.

I just got Schwalbe Marathon Supremes and they're quite nice. They roll as well (it seems) as the WTB Slickasasaurii that came with the bike. Only time will tell I guess.

I've found the Continental Country Rides I have on my trekking bike to be sturdy and they roll very well on pavement. I've put them through some nasty off-road trips loaded with gear and they have held up to my abuse. They are 1.75 size and a very reasonable price. 950 miles on them so far with no flats.

schwalbe marathons of every sort are bomb-proof, ime. I'm putting 26"x2.0" xr's on my lht when it's done. I road a pair of marathon plusses for eons, never a flat. I didn't even throw them out; i gave em to an acquaintence for commuting.

I'm using Continental Travel Contacts 26 x 1.75 and have over 3500 miles on them trouble free.
