Need advice
I'm thinking about participating in a duathlon. I'd be doing the cycling and a friend the running. It's a short race at 15 miles....how do I warm up while I wait in the transition area? It'll be my first race.

I suppose it depends on the length of the run. If it is a 15k bike, I'd guess its a 5k run. I'd probably just jog in place a bit. Really though, I think if you get a few miles ride in before the kickoff, you shouldn't need much warmup.

Race was today, btw my first race ever, ended up getting 1st place in the 2-person relay. I ended up riding around the parking lot on a friend's bike to warm-up while my partner was running. I think on a short but very intense race you need a longer warm-up than if it was a long race where you have time to warm-up and catch up.

I do dynamic stretching drills and do some swimming drills out of water ... trainer 10~15 minutes at an easy heart rate and then get my heart rate to at least race pace during drill
