1971 Schwinn Original Chicago

Hello,

I have a 1971 original Chicago Schwinn that I would like to restore. I looked up the serial number on Schwinn serial number look up and found this information. The only problen is that I read through the catalog and I cannot find " Chicago" model anywhere. Does anyone have any more information they can provide me with? Thank you!

A "Chicago" Schwinn just means that it was made at the Chicago factory before it shut down in '83. Hope this helps.

Please post a picture of the drive side of the bicycle as well as a clear close-up picture of the serial number and I'm sure we can provide you with more detailed information about it.

You're likely looking at the head badge. There were a number of Schwinn models that had the "Schwinn Chicago" head badge.
