A bike I had many years ago had a double clamp-on cable stop at the lower end of the down tube, a clamp-on cable stop on the chainstay just past the BB, and a single clamp-on cable stop on the seat tube just above the BB. Short sections of housing ran between the stops. It was quite effective, and somewhat flexible.
Unfortunately, none of the cable stops were Campy, so they are excluded from this build. 🙁

Over? Under? Why sully the beauty of that legendary bottom bracket with an ugly cable?
Surely this can be converted to "top push" operation with mere days in the workshop:

One consideration if you're seriously considering the "thru-shell" option: are you planning to use a "grease condom" on the BB? If so, that will impact the placement of the holes you'll need to drill.
As noted above, prior to the mid-1980s clamp-on cable guides for bottom bracket routing were common. I'd go that way, but it's your project.
Looking damn good so far!
Edited to add: did Campagnolo ever make hub shiners? If not, I bet some could be fabricated out of old/broken leather Campy toe straps (broken ones if they're not too short) and a nice brass or stainless snap or two. Red would look nice, but Campy blue would work too.

Not much time to respond right this moment, but thank you all for your thoughts on the BB shell and cable routing. The solution I have right now is inelegant at best. I do want to come up with something a little better, AND if it allows me to ditch the Campy down tube cable guide I’m going to take it.
I will also be addressing the entire fork debacle soon ( y’all didn’t see that one!) and also the seatpost - which I feel a little bad because I cheated.
Just kidding, don’t feel bad at all.
The hanger and Mad Honk ‘s adapter are next up!

I have been advised against thru shell options due to the experiences of some I’ve heard who have dealt with it. However, if I can eek out another 700 posts by doing so, it is quite a tempting option!

Sounds incredibly difficult, a huge pain, and a major waste of time which means I’d love to do it. However with deadlines looming, common sense, which has NO place in our build, unfortunately has to make a rare appearance. Let’s keep such undesirable appearances to a minimum , mmkay?

Over. Don’t cover the shell cutout. You COULD drill a hole in the bottom bracket and thread the cable through and exit the other side, though the front derailleur would be trickier.
it would be interesting to see JBweld on some under bracket guides though (600 more posts)
You still haven’t shown the seatpost (unless I missed it?)
Is the bike that long in wheelbase. It’s gonna be a Cadillac!

Not a bad idea, for the reason you listed, but mainly because it would provide me a golden opportunity to yet again redo something I’ve already spent hours on

Face it, more Herse/Colnago/Woodrup/Baylis/Strawberry/Paramount threads bring everybody down.
’Cool! Another [insert fav custom builder] thread! Ahh, that reminds me to go out to the display room and look at the 50 I have just admire them…’
Nobody needs that silliness!
No no…’come check out my HUFFY guys!’ ends up working for everyone and especially the common blue collar bike dude man, because then he can go out to his messy little garage, take a look at his TrekaUniRaleighsonic and say to himself, ‘Well, whatever I’ve got, at least it’s better than that guy’s’
The Huffy, the bike of the working man, is the bike for the working man. We’re here to help you feel better about yourself, as iab so eloquently put it earlier And we do a darn good job of it, too!
that sorta makes me think I need a tagline like that…
’I spent over 200hrs fixing up a Huffy. Feel better about your life yet?’
It does have a nice ring to it!

Just wait until it meets Kurtswell's Silver Hammer.

So the working man can get killed from steel rims and ineffective centerpulls!

Hey at least we can acknowledge they're Paramount quality. The cars were bigger back then...they needed steel rims to sort of act like 'bicycle bumpers'.
