So what's up man? Did I tick you off somehow? I thought you'd at least say "something" about
finding the chainguard?,,,,HD(BD)

The line to consider in this ad is "painted frame by some guy who is good at painting..." Uh, yeah, check out that fade on the chainstay.

Howdy there! I completely missed your message on the chainguard there. Good find! What have you been up to?

Hey Kurt, I've been up to all kinds of projects since we last talked. For some reason I got one or two email notifications, and then no more? Oh I saw the free spirit on like page 8? I can beat that. I got $80 for an AMF nimble 3 speed. It was in really good shape. I changed north road bars to ATB risers, put some stitched Dimension grips on it, and a Magna MTB seat that I dyed tan. I was pretty surprised in the interest.
I got it for $25 on Sunday, and it was gone by Wednesday for $80.,,,,BD

Drop me another line when you get a chance and LMK via PM to make sure it goes through.

Well, although it was no slouch of a bike to begin with, how about this: Bought an early-90's Univega at a yard sale for $30, flipped it for $195 after converting it to Shimano 7-speed w/Biopace. Also once put together a singlespeed MTB beater from 100% trash-picked parts from at least 10 different bikes (and I don't mean small parts), and flipped that ugly machine for $30.

Take care,

-kurt

How's This One For Unusual Capitalization and Spelling?! Also troubling is that each pic shows a bike locked to a pole, leading one to wonder if the "owner" will be stealing the one that draws interest.

OK -- I bought the truing stand and have my Spinergy wheel mounted up in it like the pic shows, but which part of my new spoke wrench am I supposed to use?

Check this out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Read the description. Before someone informed him it was steel and not titanium or carbon fiber (yowza), he had the starting price set at $45. Now it's $350.00 with a buy it now price of $600. The dude needs some meds, he's manic.

TimJ 08-23-06 03:17 PM

Another one, this is actually relisted:

http://cgi.ebay.com/GT-4000-26-18-Sp...QQcmdZViewItem

It's a walmart bike and they call it a GT and call the gripshift a "hand throttle".

Little Darwin 08-23-06 03:27 PM

I didn't grab the listing, but I saw a bike yesterday that was from someone wh obviously listened to comments from someone... at least a little.

Along with a list of componenets was listed...

Drum roll please...

Front and rear dropouts.

I almost responded with a smart alec remark, but I resisted.
