In cleaning my garage and listing items on Craigslist I researched the bike to find it was a much better bike then I realized.

I am listing it as "Make an Offer" to see what kind of response I get local before trying eBay.
Anyone else hate make an offer ads with $1 selling price on the listing page as much as I do?

The classic and more desired De Rosa fork crown for a Primato is the flat crown.

Got it, thank you. And does that tend to be the case for De Rosas generally, or is that something that is specific to the Primato?

I'm not the De Rosa expert some here are, but IMO, yes. Most De Rosa fans prefer the flat crown, which is more traditional for a De Rosa. The sloping crown was not available for long, and I think that's a result of popularity.

I hope two other more knowledgeable members will not mind if I repeat some of what I've heard from them...the departed and missed oldfatguy and citoyendumonde...who is one of the authorities on de rosa.

OFG had a sloping crown Primato and flat crown- he much preferred the feel of the flat crown model.

Citoyen du monde once told me that the 35th anniversary De Rosa was originally intended to have a sloping crown, but many prospective customers complained and he went with the flat crown. As far as I'm aware, I have the only sloping crown de rosa anniversary. It was likely either a custom request by the customer, or a replacement for a fork that was lost in transit. The serial number of the fork does match the frame, so it's an interesting anomaly.

Heres a Raleigh Superbe with the fork KEY! It's in Seattle, and it looks too big for me, but maybe one of you could use it. Seems like a fair price.

That seems awfully high for a Raleigh three speed with a mattress saddle to me. It doesn't even have chain guard and fenders. I'd have put that at a $75 bike.

I think people here regularly over value these - it took me 3 months to sell my Raleigh Sports with a Brooks for $175 - and it was a much nicer 1954 model year. I personally would never pay more than $100 for any variant of Raleigh Sports unless it had valuable other bits.

Seems high to me, as it's missing the chain guard, mudguards, rack, lights, and Dynohub.

Ah, good to know. I missed those missing bits. Good call. I think I got sidetracked because it had the elusive key.

I know there are several folks here that like Hardrocks. Here's one that looks to be great shape - if you are near the Delaware beaches.

A counterfeit? I wonder if the makes De Rosa bikes too!! LOL

For 1K I would like a bit more information. If this built from scratch? Just a lot of bondo on a so so track frame? paper mache'?

Ah, I hadn't considered that it might be a homemade frame- good thinking.

Note that this small point is "hidden" in the seller notes (where people rarely look). Not mentioned at all in the actual description (where people actually look) or (more importantly) in the auction title.

That said, while it's clearly a fake (based on the seller's admission), it appears that no two Cinelli Lasers were exactly alike.

It can be tough to find a mixte in that frame size, too. It seems like they're 90% 19 inch.

Schwinn Prologue frame (Tange Prestige) with some random objects attached to it for $100:
Bicycles: Road Bikes Classifieds for Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming | ksl.com

I've got a schwinn here I commuted on last year. This bike is fantastic and I'm kinda sad to see it go but I have to slim down my big fleet. In very good condition. It is set up as a single speed flat bar right now. I have the original stem and also a bull horn bar I can throw in. It has two $65 tires both have lots of life left. FSA gossamer crank. FSA red anodized external Bottom Bracket. Also comes with computer to track milage. Call or text me any time if you are interested.
