Tom Ritchey Flat Bar Commuter/Touring 54cm
[h=2]Tom Ritchey Flat Bar Commuter/Touring 54cm - $350 (Newton)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map) (yahoo map)

condition: good size / dimensions: 54cm

This Tom Ritchey conversion to a flat bar commuter that has all of the original Shimano XT except the crank that is an early Deore. These are all bulletproof components. Changes are full fenders, new lightweight wheels and high pressure road Ritchey Tom Slick tires for a fast but comfortable ride, a cassette with gearing better suited for street use, a Blackburn rack shortened bars for city use and an elevated stem for better situational awareness. The frame measures 54cm center of the crank to center of the top tube but or a 56cm if measured to the top of the seat tube if you prefer. The stand over height is 31 1/2". The top tube is 57cm c-to-c. It is a best fit for someone 5' 9" or taller.

This bike is similar in concept to Bridgestone's XO-1; an extremely light mountain frame with road tires for performance on the street but rugged enough to be an all-arounder that can do anything. Bridgestone's XO-1 had a compact crank and road derailleurs to reduce the weight and the odd bars for which they were known.

Tom Ritchey was one of the first California mountain bikers and every biker, road or mountain, has probably used some of his parts for their extremely light weight and quality. He started out making parts, then bikes and even the custom steel tubing sets he built with Tange used by Bridgestone on the MB1 to make the first 23 pound mountain bike. His parts and his bikes are known for being light and strong but never cheap. As he said to customers "You can have: light, strong, cheap pick two.

I can meet you at Riverside if the T is your transportation mode. Please include a phone number or I will not respond. The price is firm.

Landshark Custom Racing Bike 52cm Dura Ace Campagnolo

[h=2]Landshark Custom Racing Bike 52cm Dura Ace Campagnolo - $600 (Logan Circle)[/h]
Land Shark is a custom bike-maker out of Oregon. This is their Road Shark model.

Bike is a 52-53cm frame. Stand-over height is 30 inches with 700c x 23 tires. Top tube is about 21 inches, c-c.

This is one helluva bike. Tubing is Tange Prestige throughout. Lugged frameset and straight-bladed fork. Componentry is a mix of Shimano Dura Ace, 105, and Campy, as listed below:

7400 Dura Ace 7-speed shifters
7400 freewheel
7400 front/rear derailleurs
Campagnolo Ultra Torque crankset
Shimano 105 brake calipers & levers
3ttt handlebars
Custom stem
WTB thinline saddle

Rear hub is a bullseye, front is Specialized. Rims are 700c anondized, not sure of the makers, but fairly light for the spoke count. Rear rim has some glue residue, leftovers from a glue-on aero cover. This is easy to clean off and isn't on the brake tract.

There is one noticeable blemish on the bike where some paint has chipped off the top tube. Not dented, just chipped. Frame is otherwise perfect, with no dents or cracks, and paint is in pretty good shape elsewhere as well. See pictures.

I was wondering how they got it on the roof!! It does look steep with a laid back head tube.

Everything else I see on that site comes from flippers selling cheap mountain bikes made by Huffy and Pacific for stupid prices. Other than that, you see "girls bikes" and junk Sears 3-speeds, with the occasional forever-listed old rusted cruiser tossed in for good measure.

Because it's your job to make someone feel badly about selling a bike...and to guard your city against someone making $100.

At least the creep stole a bike that seemed to fit him? Of course that may have been the idea, but even the seat height seems spot on?,,,,BD

Yes it is bent, however the seller claims it is no bent and was like that when he bought it a year ago and rides just fine.
