Simon has money to burn I guess. Routine maintenance on these cars is $21,000; the tires last only about 2,500 miles and cost $33,000 to replace, but wait, every 10,000 miles for some reason you must also replace the wheels at a cost of $50,000. Of course in states like California you get to pay a $50,000 annual registration fee, plus in most states the insurance is only $3,800 a month unless you get too many speeding tickets then it goes way up. So in one year assuming you drive it 10,000 miles a year, you could pay out a total of maintenance, and fees, if you live in California, about $298,600, not including gas which it gets 7 to 15 mpg...actually 15 mpg on the highway cruising at the speed limit isn't that bad especially considering the amount of horsepower under the hood of that car, heck most of my classic cars get between 14 to 19 on the highway, even my modern pickup truck gets only 16 on the highway!

What's weird about the purchase price of that car is that for $555,000 you can get a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo that will reach darn near the same top speed with a 248 mph top speed instead of 268; or for a mere $83,000 you can get a Cadillac CTS-V that can do 200 MPH, while not as fast of course as the Bugatti or the Saleen it cost a heck of a lot less to maintain and insure. Just think, you can wait and next year you can get a used 2009 Cadillac CTS-V for just $20,000.

Fingers crossed the seller doesn't flake on me. I've had a run of bad luck the last six months or so with people on their first-time auctions where the seller backs out totally. Hoping we avoid it this time and can work out something. It's not like these are extravagant models, that back one has some rust issues like the last one I had (donated to co-op after rebuild) and I've been wanting to replace that one ever since. Something about that color with the decals looks awesome when it's polished up. Maybe not as cool as the pearl white, pearl orange or green ones, but .... I have the tools to fully service them, price is definitely fair, we'll see how it goes.

It's an odd thing that car, I've read all over the internet that people think that car is ugly, I don't think it's ugly at all, in fact I think it's a lot nicer looking than a lot of other supercars I've seen, I never cared much for those wedge shaped cars. But I like unusual looking cars, like I can't stand the looks of the Corvette, but I like the Lotus Elise and the Alfa 4C Spider, sure they're not as fast as a Corvette but most people that own Corvettes are old gray haired guys who never push the car more than 10 mph past the speed limit anyways.

That is a really cool looking bike and what a price!

I don't like steel frames with dents but this Marinoni with Chorus at $395 is a pretty darned good deal plus it has fender tabs and the seller says that it will fit 28mm tires

Mint shape Peugeot Versailles; this may be on Ebay as well. It certainly looks slick and seems to be in very good condition.

Hey @oddjob2, this is for you. I'm kinda sorta tempted to ask you to facilitate it for me, but not really. I have too many bikes.

[h=2]Cannondale CAAD7 R1000 - $700 (Grosse Pointe)[/h]

I have for sale my 56cm Cannondale CAAD7 R1000 road bike. The bike is in very good condition, needs nothing, just had a full tune up done at my local shop, plus new bar tape, and new cables. The chain and cassette have less than 200 miles on them. The bike has Ultegra rear derailleur and crankset and 105 front derailleur, brakes, and shifters, carbon fork. Bike also comes with Mavic Helium wheels. The bike is very light and fast. Made in the USA! I am asking $700 for the complete bike or $400. If you have any questions please email me, call or text. I will be willing to ship the bikes, buyer pays shipping costs and Paypal fees, will have bike professionally boxed at my own cost.

Classic 1979 Raleigh Professional Road Bike Frame - $350 (Littleton)

Classic 1979 Raleigh Professional road bike frame with Campagnolo Record headset. Seat tube is 23.5 inches (59.8cm). Beautiful condition. Original owner, never crashed, paint and finish in very good condition. Graphics in excellent condition. Only three small blemishes on paint. One on underside of down tube where it made contact with work stand. Two rub marks, one on the top of each seat stay from years of contact with leather saddlebag. Bike handled beautifully, was always babied. I've shrunk almost two inches (or the bikes grown two inches) since I first bought it. Need to go to frame that fits me better. Cash Only
Link

I was thinking hard about going after this one myself, but something else came my way instead. I'm sure I'm going to regret taking a pass.

Tom, if you want it let me know; I can bring it around Easter. I think seller just lowered price by $100, but still too rich for me, plus I'm not fast enough to ride on RED rims! Checking out a chrome Voyageur 11.8 today.

My Velo Cheapo Cannondale R800 is more in my comfort zone price wise.

@oddjob2, it was just a fantasy. I built a caad7 last year, and it was stolen on the first day I rode it. But now I have my Lemond Ti which is very similar. One problem, though, is that it's small. It's 53cm. I may need to sell it and start again. I'm not in a hurry to decide.
