Very sure it is not a "bulk cannibalization operation"...and always interesting to see what people say about you online! :-)

not going to comment on good deal or not...that would be very inappropriate!

It was just one guy with time on his hands over the holidays!

I recognized the RR ties and knew right away who it was Hope you didn't take what I said negatively, "cannibalize" by definition isn't negative (I think #1 is apropos here) and you're operating on a batch of bikes (bulk operation)...

I was peering through the frames on CL last month before holiday break and was tempted on two of them, but I'm up +4 right now and need to get some projects finished before anything else gets done.

Only the "bulk" part!! My body figure rebelled against that one! :-)

1970 Schwinn Super Sport

"Vintage Schwinn Super Sport, 10 speed, all gears work and tires hold air. Comes with a Brooks saddle, generator with headlight and tail light and rear rack. Front plastic fender broken, rear still in good condition. Call or text, no craigslist flakes."

Looks a little rough, but in serviceable shape- still has original Brooks and chrome fork.

Tis a bit rough...but if the Brooks is ok, it would cover 1/2 the cost...and those fenders look like they might be good too...

Oh god this is the best one I've seen around me in a while, I'm not even going to paraphrase it.

"The tires are too big for the bicycle. Everything works except it doesn't work because the tires are too big. The seat scrapes tires. So I'm going to sell as is for $25

Next 24"? Power Climber Mountain Bike
Steel frame, dual suspension, 18 speed index shifting, cantilever breaks, 24" tires

Additional features:Front shock fork takes the pounding of ditches and rocks. Resin pedals for long-lasting use. Quick-release seat post. This NEXT 24" Bike comes with a Lifetime warranty on the Power Climber frame and fork."

Once I bought a Miyata 712 with a seat that looked like that but when I brought it home I discovered it was a rain cover and underneath was a pristine suede Turbo saddle!

1970s classic Campagnolo bicycle - $100 (Morriston, FL)

I really wanted this bike, but the seller flaked on me and I had to leave town. Supposedly a Campagnolo frame (not), maybe the dropouts or components are Campy? Looks Motobecane-ish from the insufficient picture. Looks 60s/70s as indicated, high flange hubs, TT clamps, chrome socks etc.

Anyway, I texted this person earlier today before leaving Gainesville (work) and they texted back 'the bike was available, come over'. So I drove 40 minutes out of my way then sat and waited at a rural gas station while they ignored my texts and calls. Gave them the benefit of the doubt, then had to eventually leave and drive back to Atlanta. If you want to give it a try, might be worthwhile, I recommend to call versus text though. Bike is too small for me, but if the frame is straight, with the chrome I see, it's probably worth $100 alone. Anything Campy added is bonus

Beautiful 1970s Classic Campagnolo bicycle. White with minimal red accents. Super light metal composite frame, quick tach rims, with new tubes and tires. Rides beautiful, super comfortable seat not original to the bike. It's a great bike, $100 OBO call or text 1-585-831-0357

Yeah, I called on that one also (and texted and email-replied), soon as I saw it, but she said it was already sold. I was guessing it was a repainted PX-10, but with no visible graphics and non-drive side pic, who knows.

So weird. I basically wasted 2 hours of my day on this one. I texted on a whim because the headset looked red and reminded me of Motobecane's styling. Got a message back 30 mins later, verbatim, "Yes, it's available still come check it out". Hopped in the car for a 45 min drive from GNV to Morriston just to sit at the only gas station in town for 30min waiting on a call back or text with the exact address. I called 10 mins before getting there to square up on directions, no answer, left vmail, that's when I got concerned it was a flake job... texted 3 more times during the half hour I sat there, then realized it wasn't happening, and drove the 45 mins back to I-75 to start my 4.5 hour drive back to ATL. Total crap.

Lessons learned: Never leave without an address in-hand if possible. People don't seem to want to give you an address if you're coming from a distance, and I've trekked like that a hundred times before for Craigslist finds traveling as 2-3 hours (one way) with no problems yet.

Raleigh road bike

That ol' Gran Prix with a Stronglight crank still listed, I think it looks actually like an inviting project.

So, it sounds like people say this head badge was for an Anniversary:

Triumph Gran Course

https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/bik/5394848840.html

531 Triumph In Southern California, the ad says "Triumph" and "Carlton".

Triumph 531 if I have this correct, one doesn't see something like this often, I haven't seen such a Triumph.

Watercage bosses? So, that dates bikes some I'd say, those coming into the vogue at some times more early '80s I'd say, maybe a little earlier.

Talking about if Raleigh was still in business, they gobbled up so many businesses, maybe Triumph too.

And this; low quality bike boom French bike? LeTourneur? But with a Brooks?
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/ws...392331087.html

I don't even find a bikeforums.net thread on this brand, Dept. Store bike? Or better? Or not even French? The saddle could be an anamoly.

Electrical tape around the brake handles? ALso, those grips throw me a bit.

Not sure if someone was interested in these Campy down tube shifters. I'd buy them myself if I wasnt pretty set on road bikes.
