Fuji Ace road bike 1980s - $175 (Somerville)

First white Fuji Ace I've ever seen! Almost as nice looking as the usual all black with matching black Suntour drivetrain. I've always liked how smooth these Fuji Aces ride. Even the low end Suntour Blaze components shift well.

That's what makes the world go around, two different opinions and not one of us is correct except in our own minds of course.

If you look past that tree you might just see a forrest.

That is an absolute top rate frame at an insanely great price. Have you ever ridden a Serrota? Seriously - you're looking at an an incredibly fantastic machine with solid parts at a great price and all you have to say is you don't like the paint? If it were near me I'd run.

The other difference is that Lester didn't feel the need to crap on it. People post bikes they think others might like - less commentary and more posts of CL and eBay bikes might be a good thing.

I agree I see lots of potential!

I said it was ugly, I didn't say it doesn't have great potential, sorry but I stay away from ugly bikes and could care less about their potential, besides its the rider that makes or breaks a bikes potential.

And yes I rode a Serrota Legend Titanium bike, and I like it a lot, but I didn't like it any more then my Lynskey which was significantly less expensive. One of my friends has the Legend and he's about the same size as me so we trade off to see what each other's opinion was, he was impressed with the Lynskey, of course he's using Dura Ace components and mine is 105 so he like the Dura Ace a bit better, but ride quality wise we both couldn't tell the difference in comfort, but he and I both felt the Lynskey was more responsive which may be due to my Enve 2.0 fork vs the Serrotta fork.

Let him keep on keeping on. He's the Mr. Blackwell of this thread and half the reason I come back to it. The other half is for a listing that says "Mountain Bike - $50" that turns out to be an Annapurna two blocks from my house. I'm still waiting on the listing half to happen.

The most notable thing about that Serotta is what a SCREAMING DEAL that is for Portland. A Serotta for $300 on our CL is really something. That's like Boston or Upstate NY pricing!

[h=2]Vintage 1986 Specialized Sequoia Bike frame & Wheel set & crankset - $250 (Salisbury, MD)[/h]
Nice vintage 23" frame includes the fork, bottom bracket / axle and head set. I'm the original owner. I have a 31" inseam and have about an inch to spare when straddling the top tube. The frame is in good condition with a little bit of typical for age paint loss / chipping, but no noticeable dents or dings.

As a BONUS, I will also include the front and rear wheels (with tires) and gear cluster and crank set.

Local pickup only in Salisbury, MD. Will not ship.

Will meet you at a nearby McDonalds parking lot. Price is firm. Will only accept cash.

Please email me with your phone number(s) and best time to contact you, so we can set up a date & time for you to see the frame.

At $400, this isn't a screaming deal, but might be worth a look if you are in the market. This is one of the local flippers.

Comments, both positive and negative are OK unless the seller is a member here. Substance supercedes style, but whatever...... The best part of this thread is finding a screaming deal. I've picked up at least two bikes from this thread. One was underpriced for the groupset on it alone. The other one was an unusual find, priced about right, and my size.

Can't tell in the pic but it does appear to be in very good condition, I've seen those bikes go for a bit less but if it's minty it would be worth the asking price.
