eBay / CraigsList finds - "Are you looking for one of these!?" Part II

I like this. A bit small for me though. Could go way up by end of auction, or maybe a deal.

It's from 1936, and has an early derailleur setup. Modern RDs deal with the chain tension with the two jockey wheels. This early attempt had it as a separate arm. The seller is also selling a similar derailleur group separately. Expect both to fetch a handsome price. They are quire rare:

Thanks for the education. I can imagine it's quite rare, in all my 60 years of living, of course the first 15 years don't count since I wasn't into road bikes yet, I have never seen that before, I have seen some early stuff with the small chain coming out that operated the derailleur and long lever thrown front derailleurs, but not that displayed here. Interesting.

Not really digging that so much - it's just a 753 bike with an expensive branding. If I bought a Herse, I'd want a crazy one with the Herse stem, cranks, etc.

Sloar and I are trying to figure out what scheme to do the Gazelle in and this one grabs me.
So does an idea from a trusted forum member, but we'll see where the whims lead.
I look through this build on the RH and I notice I have every single bit on a shelf here......
Nothing that outrageous really.

Why yes I do.
.......and definitely not for sale. Pure luck that I found these locally.
Last time I counted, I had more wheelsets than Imelda Marcos had shoes though.
In fact, I am readying a half dozen Campy or Campy/Mavic wheelsets for sale.
Some tub and some clincher.

I am picking up a NOS Mavic SSC rim tomorrow but the seller only has one so finding another one will be a pain in the neck, I am sure.
This is not cheap but it appears to be in great shape:

Chevy's old MTB
Fat Chance mountain bike, previously owned by Chevy Chase. Our store purchased this bike from the Chase Family and it's been in our storage for a few years. The bike was built in the late 80's, and is in very good condition, considering the vintage.
Features:
•Frame: Tange Prestige Cro-moly with a rigid fork and Fat's famous fork crown
•Seatpost: funky, vintage, machined post (see picture)- really cool. The clamp has a small crack in it.
•Saddle: new Bontrager gel
•Shifters: Deore XT right shifter, Left is a Shimano thumb shifter
•Stem: Tioga T-bone (without stickers) 140mm with aggressive rise
•Brake levers: Magura mountain
•Wheels: Mavic Oxygen rims on Deore XT hubs
•Tires: Kenda front and rear
•Drivetrain: Deore XT, except Front Derailleur which is Deore LX (6 speed)
•includes: Rhode Gear rear rack
•Pedals: Deore XT
•Grips: Serfas anatomic (new)
•Includes: black bell on handlebars
•weighs 29 poundshttp

someone on here please buy this bianchi. https://www.ebay.com/itm/141120613911...84.m1423.l2649
Jack of all trades
Aside from the ignorant misspelling, this looks intriguing to me:
[h=2]Meile Mnt Bike - $35 (N. of Sandpoint)[/h]

This bike needs tires, wheels, and tune up. Gears were stiff and sticking when last ridden this summer. I think the frame is 18" with 26"tires. Leave phone # in email if interested. Thanks

[h=2]Vintage Ciocc Steel Frame Italian Racer - $650 (Silver Spring)[/h]

This is a 52 cm 1980's Ciocc with chrome fork, chrome dropouts, and chrome chain stay. Clover leaf cutout on bottom of frame over bottom bracket. Heart shaped engravings on top tube and down tube. These bikes were handmade in Italy, and the first owner raced semi-professionally on this bike. I commuted for about 6 months on this bike, and love the way it rides: nimble, quick, responsive. But regretfully this bike is just a little too long for me. Also, I need to reign in my bike collecting hobby. New SRAM 1300 brake callipers. New cables, housing, tires, seat. Original campagnolo headset, campagnolo bottom bracket, shifters, and derailleurs. Shimano duraace hubs. The paint is chipped in places and new brake levers would be look better - but I need to stop pouring money into this bike. I get a lot of complements on this bike - you will too. Google Ciocc and you will see you are getting a good deal.

Fancy lugged frames are always cool, but a simple luggless frame can really be elegant.
