This is a Miyata 312 12 speed touring/sport bike. The bike is super clean, nice paint and the tires have almost no wear. The frame is triple butted and is on the larger side with a 33 inch stand over, approximately 58 cm with a measurement of 23 inches from the top of the seat tube to the center if the pedal shaft. I am selling my Peugeot as it is, sadly, too small for me. The frame size is 54cm and it is made of Reynolds 531 tubing. The bike is mostly original including the Ideal leather saddle bars, stem, seatpost, brakes and drive train (a Shimano front derailure is mounted now but the original Simplex is included in the sale). Only the wheel/tires are non-OEM (although the skewers ARE) and the tires are new Continentals last year.Please e-mail me for more and higher resolution pictures or just come up and see it.

THE BIKE: Custom hand built by P.Mooney at Belmont Wheelworks. Nuobium steel with custom lugg work. Beautifull dark pewter metallic paint with black panels and black/gold lettering and gold pinstripes. Frame and fork match and are in near perfect condition. The fork has not been used. I swapped it with a Reynolds Ouzo Pro full carbon. Both are available. I have only put approx 4000 miles on this bike since 2005 as I've had others to ride in inclement and seasonal weather conditions. This bike rides better than any other I've owned (Serotta; Waterford; Paramount). This frame and steel fork were $2250 and I later changed to this custom paint +$650.By Mooney as well.
The carbon fork was $450. Head tube is threadless with 1 1/8 sizing.
Frame, steel fork with the King headset ($125) ...I offer it for $1100. If you want the carbon fork as well, add $150.
SIZING: top tube= 55.5cm/ seat tube= 52cm -both center to center. Stand over hgt.= 78cm floor to top of seat tube. Standard geo not sloping.
It is currently set up as follows:
Campy Record 10 spd. shifters; derailleurs f+r; brakes; Record Alu. crank in standard size (172.5) w/ square taper BB .
FSA o/s carbon bar-42cm. Record carbon seat post. Ritchey stem. Fizik saddle. Record pedals.
Wheels: Mavic Open Pros with Chorus hubs and Chorus cassette (12-25) 32 hole.
Tires-Conti's f+r 500mi. clinchers.
Wipperman s/s chain.

Case still has clear protective cover on top/bottom and is inside factory Shimano white protective cardboard cover and this is inside brown shipping cover. All shipping numbers match ( 4394 ). Crank is 172.5 and cassette is 12/23. Also included is a NOS blue DuraAce baseball cap and med.sized 25th Anniversary jersey. The 25th Anniversary Seiko watch (very nice watch) is included -still in wrapper- as well as the "coffee table" book of the history of DuraAce , the boxed set of installation instructions and the letter of "thank you" for Shimano. In other word exactly as it came fom the factory including the locking key and key cover - except for a couple extras (cap/jersey). Photos available if interested.

Bike is ready to ride home and enjoy. I'll even throw in a set of aero bars with yellow bar tape as well if you want.
One word to notice : wheels could use a slight truing but nothing bad, and the rear hub could use some grease, but again this is all simple do it yourself stuff, or take it to a shop and have them do it. Either way, super nice and rideable bike.
Willing to meet-up anywhere in the East Bay area.

Here is a used ATALA described in title. It is 54cm seat tube when measured from center of the bb to the top of the top tube. Top tube measures 55cm center to center.Here is how bike is appears.Been Painted,decaled looks very pro.It has 8speed Campagnolo drivetrain (Which level? Do not know)Crank,BB,Ergo shifters,Front&Rear Derailleurs,Cassette,Hubs.And Works Excellent whole campy parts has very minimal wear.Rims are Mavic GL330 tubular Spins beautifull can tell hubs are in very good condition.Lets talk about a bit negative things about the bike.Needs pair of tubular tires,Brakes works very well but I think got to go they are ugly universal side pulls. Has very ugly h.bars and stem.No name head set (actually it is chrome,has no pits and looks OK...) Seat post and seat noting special...I like to get $750.00

Campangelo Nuvo Record componets throughout. This machine is in clean guideline condition and shown at the Larz Anderson ; Concor De- Elegance 2009. Now offerd at $ 1000.00 firm . My Turbo is a 56cm, that has to be a 58. Robbie noted that it's not all-original, but aside from the seat (not a Turbo) that's way beyond my ability to spot from a tiny pic. Catalog stated weight: 21 lbs, not bad for 1984.
